Luke sees the Codenian Mew and smiles a bit. He lets Rita have a chance to battle it first. Besides, it would be very rude to just swipe it.

"Oh, frick." Rita cursed. Of all the pokemon! Still... Worth a try. She gave Mew a tentative smile. "Um, hi there! Would you like to be my friend?" She can already guess it wouldn't be ending well for her, but hey, maybe Mew kept attacking because the people kept attacking her! The dex is written by the humans, after all. Maybe Mew wasn't like the dex described.

Luke slides back a bit with Leviathan and goes back to fishing, not wanting to get all hurt or something or worse, even die. He closes his eyes and waits for the little jerk to be felt and waits to pull up the rod.

"And that's a fail... Shuca, Thunder Wave!" Rita knew she had zero hope of taming Mew. She couldn't even tame Skitty. She definitely wasn't about to let herself get slashed to pieces. Shuca was definitely more aggressive that she was and fired off a Thundershock aftr the Thunder Wave.

“Leviathan, use Wrap!” he yelled. Leviathan used wrap. It wasn’t a strong attack but he was very limited on options here. He holds up the Gd and scans the wild Pokémon.

Gd: Leviathil! The Sea Demon Pokémon! Water, Myth! Evolves from Codenian Wailmer! When spotted the viewer is sent into a shock, unable to mive, unable to react, just stand there helpless as the murderous pokemon proceeds to disappear leaving leaving the victim with PTSD!

Rita flinched slightly. She had no hope of beating the Mew. And Shuca wasn't able to beat it. What does that leave her?
Well, the dex said Mew kills humans, not pokemon, so Shuca is safe. As for her... well, running still seems like the best option. She spun on the spot and ran at full speed. Shuca kept an eye on the Mew, ready to Thunder Wave if needed.

Leviathan squirms over to the Leviathil and tries to reason with it. Luke is just sitting there, unable to move at all. He saw Rita able to run, and wishes he could too.

Rita hissed quietly, but returned Shuca to his pokeball and took off. She'd have to heal him later. The pokeball should keep him safe.

Luke falls over, holding his legs and just lying sideways on the ground, not saying or doing anything, his heart pounding as he sweats and just stares at the water, looking lifeless and forgetting everything around him. Leviathan looks worried.
