Lyra looked at Shadow and said. "I'm gonna ask him if him and I
could go on a quest"
Lyra looked into his den to see what he was doing. "Hello?" She
looked in to the room so that she could ask him if he wanted to go
questing with her. She stepped in and waited.
Alex heard footsteps coming into the room. He flicked his tail,
sending the coins into a messy pile, and stoped using electricity.
He peered out of the carved door, and saw Lyra and Shadow. He
yawned. "Hey guys! Oh, heres your coins back, thanks!" Alex quickly
sorted out his coins (he was fast at counting as ive established
earlier) and handed 400 back to Lyra.
Shadow poked his head in. “Hi, I just saw Lyra outside, and wanted
to join her on the quest she was having. I assume she’s inviting
you? Also, Lyra, could you tell me your powers? i like to keep
informed.
"Thanks but I was wondering if we could go on a quest today, me and
you, besides you owe me since I gave you that potion before too."
Lyra looked at him with a smile in her eyes hoping he would say
yes. She looked behind him at his coins, while waiting for his
response."Also Shadow my powers aren't a whole lot but I am great
at archery and I have special arrows." Replied Lyra without leaving
Alex's gaze.
"200 coins for the potions and no quest." Alex joked. "Of course
I'll come, I was looking for something to do today anyway. I was
pretty bored." Still in good spirits from yesterday, Alex crammed
100 of his 600 coins into his small leather pouch (hey, you never
knew when you could use some money), and strutted outside into the
morning breeze. The sun shone on his pelt, making it glow with a
fiery sheen.
“Hey! Wait for me!” Shadow called, racing to catch up with Alex.
“Whoa, bro, you gotta wait for others sometimes. Can I join in?
I’ve never seen Lyra in battle, but I bet her bow packs a serious
punch.
Shadow’s heart was racing. Hopefully today he would find a black
ember and evolve. Speaking for going on quests, he still didn’t
know where they were going.
He dropped back to where Lyra was and asked “where are we going” he
asked.
"Do you have any room left in your pouch I got some thin for the
quest." Asked the eager archer with joy in her tone. She still had
a few potions left from the town, she thought Alex might need some
If he wanted to stay alive, during this quest."Also Shadow I don't
know where we are going but it has to be somewhere challenging."
Replied Lyra. She thought that maybe they could go ask Miko if she
wanted to come.
Silver glanced in the direction of the other cats. She decided what
she wanted to do today. Stretching out her wings, she lifted off,
beginning to try flying around, looking down at the cats of the
guild below. Most cats hadn't woken up yet, so she flew around a
lazy camp.
Alex opened his pouch. The coins burst out, and Alex comically
scrambled to refill the pouch. "No room, sorry," He yowled as he
chased after a rolling coin. He rounded them all up, and re stuffed
the pouch. "There. Now STAY CLOSED!"
“Umm.. should we go ask Miko?” Shadow asked meekly. “She might feel
like it’s boring not having gone on a quest for a whole day... and
I think all three of us want to befriend her, you know what I
mean?
Also, Lyra, you don’t seem to have to many coins... I could give
you some, because you introduced me to the guild?
Alex raised an eyebrow. "Really? I think she'd rather go with the
Sneaks, and she'd probably just glare at us and whine at us passive
agressively the whole time." Alex laughed. "Don't get me wrong, I
don't dislike Miko, but I dont think shed apreciate us and I
respect her boundaries."
"I think silver would be a better choice," Alex continued.
Silver was watching the cats conversate. She wondered if they were
heading out, if so, they were being awefully slow about it. She
shrugged and did a loop de loop in the air, squealing in the
delight of the wind on her feathers as she was now able to fly
properly.
Yeah, maybe lets just ask Silver. After all, you guys know Miko
better than me, and Silver has turner out to be quite agreeable.
What do you think?
Shadow was thinking... I can’t wait to see silver’s new powers! She
would be a great ally. Wait! That gives me a great idea! He turned
to the others and said “how about we find somewhere harder, if
Silver’s coming along? We certainty are stronger than before.
Alex leaped in excitement. Sparks flew from his paws when he
landed, but barely enough to notice. He'd have to get that under
control. "Yeah, a challenge sounds great! I can't wait to see what
comes next!" He mimed swiping a paw at an enemy.
"Speaking of Silver, I think I know where to find her," Alex
proclaimed. It was true, Alex was a pretty good guesser. And
knowing that Silver's wings had drastically improved yesterday...
Alex looked towards the sky, and smiled, knowing that his
prediction is right. He saw Silver barrel rolling and diving
throught the clouds. "Now to get her attention..." Thinking
quickly, Alex took a coin from his almost bursting bag, and held it
up to the sky. The sun reflected the beam, and it redirected itself
to hit Silver's wings.
“Woah, buddy”, Shadow said playfully. Don’t want to trigger Silver.
I don’t want to see her demon side. I have a better idea. Use your
electric power to creat a small lightning bolt, but make sure not
to hit her! You can channel all that excess tense energy into a
little surprise.
Alex looked at Shadow with confusion. "Electric?" It was a
marvelous act. Alex managed to use his 'how did you know'
confusion, and turned it into 'what do you mean' confusion. He kept
holding and adjusting the coin till the light shone in silver's
eyes.
Silver shook her head. "Who's doing that!?" She looked down
at the cats below, almost glaring at them. "What's going on?" She
called with less intimidation.
Lyra looked at what Alex seemed to be looking at, she saw a flying
cat and said. "Wow is that the Silver that I've heard of, she's
really strong right?" She waited for someone to respond.
Alex doubted Silver would be able to hear him well, especially
since it was a windy day (why he started with the coin). "SILVER!"
He yelled, hoping that the might at least be able ti pinpoint his
location. He began jumping up and down too, hoping to make himself
more visible.
