They say that where the Beach and Forest meet, a lone observatory stands, watching over the waves from the safety of trees. People come in and out of the facility, never staying for long but always seeking it out. For they say that in such an observatory, lies research quite unlike any other. Dissertations and published papers covering a wide range of topics and subjects are kept within the observatory, all curated by one archivist. While it makes sure to let those who walk through the seaside halls know that it is not exhaustive, it will always welcome those who seek it out.

The Knights stand closeby, although not too professional to not send a smile to a farmer's boy waving at them. The Mage Apprentice prepares their things, ready to travel the way to their teacher.

xxx You are someone who has a special ability, one that is sought after as a weapon to use in the war, or just a normal human as a regular soldier, government official, or civilian. Those that have these abilities, though, are either old enough to be a product of an experiment or just inherited said ability from a parent who was a subject. You were sent a draft in the mail, ordering you to go to a discreet location, where many of you gathered and listened to a man give the introduction stated above. Alternatively, if you were what he called the 'enemy', you would be forcibly taken from your home and put in a small, office-like room and shown a video explaining something similar. Only a little bit more... Sophisticated. Regular soldiers, civilians, and officials are currently going about their Thursday afternoon as they normally would. Then, you would soon be given a task depending on your ability, and you would be expected to fulfil it. Those on the Blue side, though, could possibly be taken for further experimentation. This is where you begin, getting involved with this war and never having the same life ever again. Good luck, and I bid you farewell.
xxx What fun it is to let loose and get gorey. Top tier chemistry between players and writing out some of these scenes were just so cathartic and enjoyable. Loved exploring the different possibilities that could have come out of such an RP

In order to maintain the hard-earned peace, 12 boys and 12 girls, called Tributes, are put in an outdoor arena where they remain to compete in a nationally televised event called the Hunger Games. The rules are simple: Keep the audience entertained and stay alive by any means necessary. Every citizen must watch as the youths fight for survival against death until only one remains or a full year has passed.

xxx - So, today is just your regular ol', miserable day, huh? Nothing particular going on to liven up the mood, nothing to catch your interest or even take your mind off the monotony of your every day life. Sure, some may wish for such monotony instead of the hell they live in now, but it never really mattered in the end, hm?

xxxAnyways, today seems like it will be busy at one of the more well-known black market hotspots in the world, the Mercado de la Muerte along the Amazon River. Some sellers have recently caught some rare merchandise, and it's the perfect weather for the venues to open up. Although... There seems to be an odd aura hanging in the air, a sort of unrest that looms above the day...
