Silver saw Fred jump up going to the door. He clips hear a
disturbance. Silver went down holding Fred on his back. Fred jumped
off and Silver followed him. They walked for about a minute when
they saw two beings. When Silver saw the human he felt something.
He thought she could be connected to his past in some way
She heard something rustling a bit of ways away from where he was.
She looked up and saw a wolf and a person. Had they heard what was
going on? Would they try to attack her too? She sighed and looked
back down at the ground, waiting to be released.
"You have nothing to worry about with me and Fred" He went closer
to her and helps out his hand "You shouldn't have ventured close to
her. Didn't you see the path?"
She stumbled to stand up, her arms and legs were sore from being
pinned down. She quickly pulled her hand away, what if he was
tricking her? “N-No... I didn’t...” she muttered, still trying to
figure out who this guy was. “I don’t usually go into the forest, I
only go to the city and my house...” she continued to mutter, still
feeling down about the sudden memories.
He looked down at her feeling bad for her. He wanted to help her.
He had a feeling he somehow knew her " You are scared and don't
trust me. You feel bad. The same way I do" He looked at her and
Fred. He sighed and knelt down in front of her "I have no parents.
And I left my adopted parents home when I was 12. The only friend I
have is Fred. I have no intentions of harming you"
“Heh...” a smile rugged at her mouth. “I’ve been told that
before...” she said before looking into his eyes. She knew she
could trust him, she just had this feeling. Then again... how could
she trust him? She never laid an ounce of trust on anyone, only...
She looked at him curiously. He had the same eyes, same aura, same
kindness in his voice... She decided not to mention that, she could
be wrong. “I-I’m sorry... I should go, I’m only going to cause
trouble...”
"As have I" He looked in her eyes. He felt good and calm with her.
He gave her a bright smile. He felt like he knew who she was but
couldn't place how. He looked up in the sky feeling rain coming
with coldness. He couldn't let her get caught in that "It'll be
raining and cold soon. Fred and I will take you to our home for the
night. Knowing you left out in this will fill me with a lot of
guilt" He pointed to a path that led to the treehouse. Only a
minute away
“No!” She quickly exclaimed. She realized that she might’ve been a
bit too... what’s the word... rude? She quickly calmed down her
tense nerves and tried again. “No, no it’s fine... My house is just
outside the woods, I’m fine.” She smiled a nervous smile. She was
also uncomfortable about Shadow being close-by. She felt uneasy
now.
Truth was, she didn’t know who to trust really. She had a feeling
she could trust Silver, but could she? The last time she let
someone do this, it turned out to be a trap. She didn’t want to go
through that again. He wasn’t like her either. He was a human,
which she assumed was normal. She had really bad experiences with
humans, she didn’t want to go through that again.
He looked at her curiously. He had to know why he had the feeling
he somehow knew her. More importantly he had to get her inside
before it got too dark and the more dangerous animals came "It's
dangerous at night. Shadow can protect herself. You just have to
come with me before they come" He looked at her and Fred. Fred was
keeping watch. Silver knew he felt something "Other humans are the
reason why I came to live here. I have... certain abilities they
wouldn't accept. They were afraid I'd harm them. And they attacked
me and my home every chance they got. But I never once harmed
anyone even then. I never harm anyone" He told her because he
wanted her to know he wouldn't harm her. He wanted her to go with
him to keep her safe. Then he would let her go after she got rest
of she wanted
“No, no I’m fine. I can get to my house...” she trailed off,
realizing that she shared to much info about where she lived. If
this was a trap, she couldn’t give too much info. It was
tempting though... “I-I’m sorry about that... It must’ve been
tough... I-I really need to go though...” she mumbled, slowly
trying to back away. Why wasn’t she already running? Why was she so
tempted to go with him? Is it because he looked so much like
him?
"You will be caught in the rain. And they will come before you can
get back home. You'd be lucky if you made it back safely" He
smelled the air around her smellimg something familiar "They can
definitely smell your scent. You have to trust me. It's not....
safe" Deep low growls could be heard where he trailed off. He
looked around for the sound. He looked in the direction it came
from "It's close. We have to get back now. Just trust me and come
with me. It can't climb trees very well anymore"
She was shocked in how much Silver cared about her safety. She was
reminded so much of someone she met years ago, but she refused to
believe it. She tried to refuse but her temptation kept her from
running off. “It?” she asked.
He looked around then in her eyes holding his hand out to her once
more" It is loke a shadow on the night. A bear like creature. But
stronger and faster. It only comes at night"
She didn’t take his hand, but she nodded. She didn’t know about
this creature, but why should she? It never did anything she knew
about, and it lived in the forest. A place she never went.
The sounds of growling were getting closer. He couldn't live with
himself if he let her go with that thing awake "It's getting
closer. You might have no problems with it out there. But in here
you at night you have to move quickly. It's too loud and bright in
the city for it" He pointed in the direction it was in and pointed
to a nearby tree "It's only 30 steps away. We should have enough
time before it sees us. It knows were here"
She nodded, telling him that she was ready to go. She really hoped
nothing terrible would happen, she wouldn’t forgive herself for
being too weak, too hopeful, and too gullible. She was a about to
ask him his name, but she decided not to until they got to safety.
As he led her to the treehouse he made sure to keep her close. That
thing knew better than to mess with him. He felt a lot of emotions
from her. He got to the tree and motioned for her to climb. He'd
climb up after her to keep her safe. He had to. He wanted to know
why he felt like he knew her
Lissi climbed into the treehouse, wishing she knew more about these
woods, knew more about Shadow and Silver. Shadow confirmed that
sheer were others like her, but from what she knew, all of them
were vicious and cold blooded, not caring about anything. Was that
why her parents rejected her? No, she couldn’t keep thinking about
it. She needed to stay alert. She looked at Silver, examining him.
He felt something was disturbing her. He had to get get to open up
a bit. He looked up at her and around as he climbed up with Fred on
his back. Once they got inside he pulled the ladder up inside. He
felt like she needed a friend as much as he did. As he closed the
curtain rain started pouring down hard. He went to the cooking pot
to make sure the food was warm. He kept having to repress his
memories so he could focus. He was hoping Shadow would come soon.
He sometimes enjoyed company
