She looked at the floor of the treehouse. What should she say?
Should she say anything at all? Did he know she was a hybrid? If he
really was him, he would but... she had to be safe. She
couldn’t reveal it yet. She desperately wanted to ask, but she knew
she couldn’t.
He looked over at her slightly smiling. He looked over her
carefully "I already know the questions on your mind. Yes I know. I
felt it the moment I saw you. Yes you are safe. Nothing to fear
here"
She raised an eyebrow at that. How could he tell what she was
thinking? She wanted to believe she was safe, but why couldn’t she?
She didn’t feel like she was in any danger, so why was she so
nervous? She had no clue. She sighed and looked at Silver. “I-I
have to ask you something...”
She bit her lip as she looked away from Silver. She began to feel a
bit uncomfortable now, since it was a sensitive topic for her, if
she ever got to it. “I have to ask you... What’s your name...?”
I'm Silver. Or that's the name I go by rather than Jack" He looked
at her remembering something. He gave her a surprised look and
jumped up "I know you! But... Is it really you?"
“Hm?” She looked back at Silver with a bit of shock. “Silver...
Jack?” She muttered. A sudden realization hit her. “I-it is you...”
She suddenly got very angry at him, the only friend she ever had,
the only person she cared about, gone. Ran off and left her alone
with no one to help her.
He looked at her feeling she was mad. He took a step back
remembering he didn't like when she was mad. She got scary when she
was mad "I have a very good reason for leaving. I had to. We
wouldn't be here if I didn't" He looked at Fred makimg sure he had
ate and was sleeping "We were in great danger. I fought them off.
In doing so I lost most of my memory. Each day after about a month
I remembered little by little. Then I heard you amd Shadow and
remembered a lot more. I had to know it was you. I had no control
over anything that happened. Except for leaving because I lost my
memory" He looked at her feelong terrible. He hoped she believed he
was telling the truth. He would never lie to the pnly person he
really trusted and cared about "I didn't know any of that would
happen"
She knew it was unreasonable to get mad at him like this, but she
couldn’t help it. “And you just left be there with them? You
didn’t even tell me!” She yelled.
He looked at her feeling terrible. He doesn't mean for it to happen
that way "I didn't have any memory of anyone. Or anything I've done
before that. I lost my memory. I didn't know that would happen. I
told you. I didn't have any control of that situation. Do you think
I'd leave you alone if I did keep my mempry?" He shed a single tear
and knelt down "I would have went straight to you. You are the only
one who I would have went to"
What was she thinking? Why was she lashing out at Silver,
when he didn’t deserve it? That was one problem she had. She was so
consumed with rage sometimes, she didn’t know when to stop. “I was
left... with them... Do you know... what i had to go through
for 8 YEARS?!”
She wanted to punch him, push him away. She started to cry, she
couldn’t take this anymore. She believed him, she forgave him.
Tears rolled down her face, she couldn’t control it.
He gently wiped her tears away and hummed to her the way he always
did when she cried. He held her for a while. He dlnever meant to
hurt her. He felt all her pain and misery. He wanted to stay with
her and never lose her again
He gently rubbed her back soothingly. He pulled back a little and
held her hands looking deep in her eyes "I really care about you. I
wpuld never leave you alone on purpose. Or without a purpose. You
are the only friend I've ever had. Besides Fred when I saved him
from that evil bear thing. And I hurt guess you can count Shadow.
Though I'm still trying to figure her out" He smiled warmly" But
you were there with me when nobody else was. You helped me feel
safe. You cared when nobody else did. Nothing could ever stop me
from wanting to see you. Or be with you. Or care and feel the way I
feel about you. You're my best frien. Nothing could ever keep me
away from you"
Her voice wouldn’t work, but she didn’t know what to say anyways.
She simply nodded and looked at the floor. She had a rough day
already, she couldn’t take anymore. “I’m going to rest...”
He nodded and sat on the couch "You've had a rough and weird day.
You can take my bed. I'll stay right here" He pointed to his bed
and laid back "You need it more than I do right now. Rest. I'm glad
you're here. I've missed my best friend"
Shadow stood listening in the forest a wolf howled in the distance
her body tensed and she scaled a tree this was bad very bad that
