What is the suggestion?

Basically, what I believe could be a good change is basically allowing Dex Legendaries to be traded, but ONLY between players who have completed their Dex for said Dex Legendaries. I am NOT suggesting them to be freely tradeable as I know it has been suggested and has been brought up before. This is why I'm calling it semi-tradeable.

For example, let's say I've completed my Alola Dex and have got my Type: Null. As it stands right now I cannot trade it away, neither any of the Type: Null I would happen to breed and get extras of. So, with this change I would be able to trade my Type: Null, but not just to anyone, but only to other people who have also completed their Alola Dex, and have at least had a Type: Null on their account and had been registered in their Dex once before, or already is. Same thing would go for Silvally (obviously).

How could this be good?

• This could help out people who have released their only Dex Legendary and cannot obtain another one, they would still be able to get another one through some means (I know there's some people out there)
• This would bring more value to Dex Legendaries instead of them being worthless like I've seen many people say that they are
• This would also mean that it would also be more worthwhile to shiny hunt them and spending the time to actually do so (they're also rather tedious hunts to keep in mind)
• It could somewhat help people swapping their Dex Legendaries to echange OTs so they have slightly better time with breeding rates (given they don't have a different OT Ditto and haven't swapped theirs/don't want to)
• You could actually get help with other people shiny hunting Dex Legendaries for you just like you can with the majority of other Pokémon

Downsides?

Not really many I can think of. I know that this would make them have value and we could see these being quite pricey, but then again that would be expected considering the circumstances.

Also, you obviously wouldn't be able to put them up in Auction or make public GTS trades with them, unless auctions and trades containing these Dex Legendaries are invisible/inaccessible to people who haven't ever obtained such Dex Legendary before themselves. I guess that could work fine maybe?

I was just thinking about this the other day. I mean other than shiny hunting them or collecting types for your dex they have no value or means?

I'm genuinely surprised to see what support this suggestion has gotten so far, and it's nice to see that others really do believe this would be good, or don't mind it. I did really want to say that, and I also got some more to say.

Anyway. there is another other point about bringing up Arceus and Silvally in particular, and I am also aware that even Arceus right now has some of its forms in low OS numbers when it comes to shinies in particular (a few don't have any too iirc). Arceus has been out for a pretty long time now too. So, it's like for completionist sake and for people who would want a legit complete shiny dex at some point. As it stands currently, they would need to spend a riidiculous amount of time if they would actually want to get all these Dex Legendaries all as shinies. We're talking many many years since you need to solo grind them all.

So, even if we are talking about expenses here, and being able to sell hunts of these, then obviously these won't be cheap hunts, but I do know people will engage with doing them and these will indeed sell slots. So, that's why I want to prefice how these being expensive would be expected considering the circumstances as they're more tedious hunts. Just making it clear for anyone who wouldn't already know.

Yes, we did just see a 300% breeding increase to Dex Legendaries, and that's great and all. But, simply it's not enough, and it really didn't make that much of a difference especially since it's a 300% increase off of a base rate that was already super low to begin with. You can't have perfect pairs with them either which is another thing as well so go figure. I don't want to make this about that and suggest anything in regards to that here, but I know very well from still hunting a Dex Lengendary still while after that change took effect of how it actually is like now compared to before. Also, I know others who are hunting them right now that know as well. Trust me, that Mega buff that came along with it was really good, so it's not like I'm saying that update as a whole wasn't good enough.

The main point of me making this suggestion and bringing this idea forth is so we can have something that's more fair for the time that we spend with hunting these, and hopefully move more towards something that's more casual and enjoyable for everyone. There's a lot of things that need to be brought down from being very tedious to near impossible {stuff like trio birds/Ditto hunt for example) and made more manageable for everyone.

We are in need of healthier changes.

I absolutely love this idea. I have been in this situation where I had my Mega Mewtwo, but not the "normal" Mewtwo for my Dex, so I had to breed ONE single Mewtwo just to get it. It took me 3 or 4 days for one egg. So this suggestion would have saved me at least 3 days of Daycaring that I could have spent better if I could have bought the Mewtwo, as I already had the EggDex entry and didn't need it anymore.

I like this suggestion but it wouldn't affect me not because I would never release something I have worked hard for (did that with a shiny i nearly threw up when i realized it) but because my lazy butt hasn't completed more than the Kanto Dex. When I complete more though yeah it would prolly affect me and I might use it. Gonna change my vote
