Is the event shop classed as the same thing as an event distribution so would adopting a sobble break my chain??

If you adopt an event 'mon from the event shop, it would break your chain.

However, event distributions don't break your chain.

No, "Event Shop" and "Event Distribution" page are two different things.. :(

So, any eggs that came from the event distribution page will not break your chain. ;)

But, any eggs that came from the Event Shop will count in your PokéRadar, and may break your chain, if the egg you've bought there is different from the Pokémon you're currently hunting with. :S
