Blue's plush slipped from her grip and nudged Flay's feet, when
Flay picked up the plush she noticed a photo sticking out of the
small pocket on th penguin's belly. The photo was of Blue and her
parents, Flay realized that she had seen Blue's parents before,
they had been in th dead cart, it hit her that Blue was an orphan.
She looked back at Blue, then the picture. Is that why she was
alone? She knew something was off on her behavior. The way she
stayed close to her... “Guess I’m taking care of you now.” She
smiled a little bit. Im afraid that won’t be possible. You still
have me to worry about, don’t you? If you keep acting the way you
are, you’ll scare the poor thing. You- “Shut up... I didn’t
have my parents, she doesn’t have hers. I want to make her happy in
this miserable world.” She walked to her couch and pointed her
finger at the penguin to make it float. She gently put it next to
Blue.
Blue stirred slightly but didnt wake as she hugged her plushie
closer, tired from the day's events Fly called it early and went to
bed. When Flay woke the next morning Blue was sitting on the couch
looking at the photo of her and her parents longingly, not aware of
the tears in her eyes.
The mother's blue eyes popped as she laughed, her dark hair glining
a little in the light. The father with the same wavy borwn hair as
the child and kind dark eyes. The child, though much younger, was
clearly Blue. The slightly oversized party hat on the child's brown
haired head as her blue eyes peeked from behind her bangs, the
child was smiling small, but despite being a bit shy she was
clearly happy. A penguin plush was sitting next to the child who
was holding an Eevee plush with a ribbon tied around the plush's
neck, it was the child's birhtday present in the photo. This
precious happy moment in time caught forever, in the photo when it
would just be a memory, but now it was so much more than that.
That Eevee plush, it was still in her own home. She stood up and
set her penguin plush on the couch that had been her bed, she had a
misson: to get her Eevee plush back. Now she just needed to figure
out where to start.
Flay didn’t try to stop Blue, instead she walked into her room and
got her gloves and jacket. She paused for minute, wondering what
she was doing. Why am I planning to follow her? I’m not her
bodyguard, I shouldn’t be this protective... She ignored her
own thoughts and walked to the bedroom door. She looked at the
trapdoor under her bed. She considered setting up a mattress down
in the basement, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t bring herself to go
down there, not even open the door.
Blue was able to follow a faded path from Flay's path to her own
home and sure enough there was the tape on her home, but what
hadn't been there earlier was bouncer, obivously put there by Dr.
Money for some reason.
The bouncer just looked at Blue. "Scram kid, this an't no play
ground."
Blue couldn't find the words to speak. This is my house so I
should be able to go in though right? Blue pulled out the
picture and showed the bouncer, as if this would let her in by some
miracle. Of course though it didn't.
The bouncer looked more anoyed. "I said beat it kid." He threw an
energy ball at Blue, who dove to the ground and avoided the energy
ball. "Next time I won't miss. Scram!"
Flay was watching from the door. It must be important if she did
that... She stepped out of her doorway, then stepping in front
of Blue. “She’s just a kid. Besides, she has a right to be here if
it’s her house.” She calmly spoke to the man.
"Look lady, I'm just doing my orders per Dr. Money's request: No
one comes in or out until he's done looking around the house."
There was a firm tone in his voice that seemed to argue that he
wouldn't budge, but at the same time he seemed slightly upset that
he had to keep this kid out from her own porperty. "Besides kid
it's dangerous and you could get hurt." It's not like the bouncer
was lying, it house did seem in rough shape after four years of
being neglected.
Blue puffed her cheeks out but then pretended to leave, she hid
behind a tree then used the tree line to make her way to the back,
where a small door was carved in a tree trunk. Blue slipped her
finger through the small hole and popped it open and slipped inside
the tree. It was a hidden passage to the house basement, though
dark it would do the job of getting her inside. Blue felt her way
using the dirt wall as a guide of sorts, when she reached the end
of the tunnel there was a trap door and a small peep hole. After
seeing the coast was clear she pushed the door up and climbed out.
She was in the house's pantry now, which mimiced a safe room.
Flay saw Blue out of the corner of her eye. She noticed that she
was going to the back, but made sure the bouncer didn’t see her eye
movement. “...” she walked off, but kept an eye of the bouncer.
The safe room was in the "abaondoned" pantry, as it wasn't very big
and sperated from the house, it felt like a small grauge honestly.
There was another small trap door a bout two feet away, she closed
the one she came out of then droped down the second, closing the
door behind her, she followed the dimmly lit path and ended up into
the den. Blue pushed the trap door up and exited, shutting the door
behind her. She then peeked from the den wall and found the so
called "Doctor" examining the house, in his hand was a good sized
bag that seemed somewhat filled. But with what? Blue took great
care not to get spoted.
Flay stood at her doorway again. She kept wondering what Blue was
doing. She looked back in her house and saw a small mess in her
“kitchen”. She quickly cleaned up and sat on her couch.
Though riskly, Blue dropped onto her stomach and crawled on the
floor and made it to her bedroom. Her parents had packed up all of
her belongings in case they needed to move, and thank god they had,
but there was one last thing she needed. Her mother had promised
Blue a necklace that Blue had adored for as long as she could
remember once she came of age, well, since her mother was gone she
wanted to get that too, as a reminder. Blue made her way back to
the den and dropped the bag down the trap door; she then slunk her
way to her parent's bedroom, where Doctor Money also was, he
apeared to be rumiging through her mother's jewerly box?
Blue froze for a moment before ducking underneath the bed.
Flay sighed and closed her eyes. What was she thinking about taking
care of her? She didn’t know anything about her, or how to take
care of people. She had been isolated from everyone for most of her
life, mostly because of her parents.
Blue watched Doctor Money pull out a necklace small golden heart
shaped locket that read Forever and always in my heart on
the outside, and when he opened it the inside of the cover had a
small picture of Blue and her parents in a nice family portait, the
other side had a small music box that played a small soft and soothing tune, a lullaby
really.
Don't take it, please don't take it, please don't-
Doctor Money closed the necklace and pocketed it, it certainly
looked like it would fetch a pretty penny after all. Blue's eyes
widened in shock but for some reason couldn't speak. It felt like a
part of her soul had just been jerked from her chest.
Blue waited until Doctor Money had left then she exited the same
way she had entered, she wasn't aware of the fact she was crying
until she had slipped past Flay. The duffel bag with her stuff
slipped off her shoulder and onto the floor by the couch.
(No harm, but I might make an undertale related character as
another NPC who'll be useful later)
Blue just curled up on the couch and tryied to figure out what to
do next, at least she had the Eevee, so that was something
right?
Doctor Money causually walked out of the home, his hand wrapped
around the locket in his pocket, a smile on his face. Another
vauluble, another pretty penny.
Flay saw someone come out of the door of Blue’s house. She turned
her head slightly and saw the Doctor. She glared at him, pebbles
around her feet started shaking. He took something from your
sweet girl... The voice was small, shaky even.
(Maybe your character's doing errons or something? I would start
from the beginning and then just see where she would fit.)
The Doctor wasn't even looking at Flay, he was running his thumb
over the heart locket in his pocket. He coudln't wait to add it to
the collection in his room.
