For Gem Exchange you should be able to accept offers instead of auto accept. I run a shop and sell gems through gem exchange, I put a lot up and the person who's buying them pays and puts a crap gem on it and gets the gems, but I cannot stop strangers from taking the gems

Example-
Pichu_King - Can I have 50 grass gem
GoldenArcanine - Sure I'll put them on gem exchange all you need is a normal gem to trade for the grass gems
You have gotten 1x notification
Your Gems have been Exchanged
You look at who got the gems, it is a random stranger who got 50 grass gems for a normal gem, and Pichu King did not get them:(

No support.
First of all, the one who is GIVING the bad Gem should put it up. Nobody is going to pay 50 Grass Gems for one Normal Gem, and if they do, that's good for your customer, and it's not like they're going to back out of the offer when they've already put up the Exchange and paid and everything.
Second, the whole point of the Gem Exchange is for fast exchanges. If you have to go through an approval process like the GTS, it will be made several times slower, which is horribly inconvenient for everything except the example made in the first post, which I already explained how to avoid with incredible ease.
This would cause more trouble than it's worth, and it literally doesn't solve anything that can't already be solved even more easily than it would be if this was approved.

Yes. So the customer puts up the offer, offering the bad Gem in exchange for your many Gems. If the customer is requesting a ton of Gems for one Gem, nobody but you will want to take that offer, because they'd be getting the short end of the deal, and if they do, you lose nothing and the customer gains a lot.

Edit: Here is an example:
Now, let's say I made a deal with someone to sell them 21 Normal Gems for one Fire Gem. If I make the offer below, someone is going to jump to get it, because 21 Normal Gems is waaay better than one Fire Gem and they'd be getting a lot of free Gems.

But if the customer wants to actually receive their Gems, which I'm sure they do, then they should set it up, like so:

Nobody is going to want to give 21 Normal Gems just to get one Fire Gem, because they're getting the short end of the deal.
Just do the latter method, and there will be absolutely no problems whatsoever. (And if someone does take the offer, which is extremely unlikely because the fact that they are getting the worse end of the deal should be completely obvious, the customer got 21 Normal Gems for free. Unless you're a really selfish and bitter person, which you don't seem to be, you will be happy for them and this will not cause problems for you.)
Make more sense now?

Yes but you can ask them to set up the trade giving 1 fire gem for 50 grass gems instead of you giving 50 for 1

As I said, you are giving 50 Gems and they are giving one regardless of which of you sets up the offer. The ONLY difference between you setting up the offer and them setting up the offer is which of you posts it and which accepts. You will give 50 Gems and they will give 1 Gem either way. Please reread my posts.

I like the way the GE is now. It's extremely quick, especially if I need gems quick and can't be around to accept the offer. When trading with some else I admit it could be a hassle trading with many gems but as Carpet said the person with the "bad" gem should set it up.

So no support. The GE is fine the way it is now.

GoldenArcanine, I don't think you get it. Carpet gave a perfect solution to this, therefore there is no use for this suggestion. So no support.
