The devs did him dirty, turning his death into such a joke and killed him off like nothing at the end of the game. I didn't even want to acknowledge it, it was just awful. I'm glad that fanfiction exist because honestly all the fans could've written something better than whatever the campaign story for COD MWIII.

Even if I liked his character, I felt really conflicted when he was shown to be alive after his tank exploded in MWII. As much as I like Graves, I honestly still would've preferred Soap to be alive. It feels like an unfair trade.

I was really sad when he died in the main story line, honestly. He was my favorite and I hated seeing him in pain, I felt devastated. It was a few more playthroughs that a friend of mine told me that in P3P (FemMC route only) you could save Shinjiro and I immediately had to do that. I feel like I owe it to him.
