Perhaps this would be Essie's chance to collect a sample. That would make studying the corruption easier. She might not be able to practically test it on dragons, but a human model would probably work.

*Avagon was still stuck in the crystal just in shock after seeing so much drama in one day but he felt responsible for all this, so when the crystal would vanish he would go back and apologies to the queen and Dragora and never come back there again* This all of my fault...

Dragora had fallen asleep next to the healing crystal. She wakes up and looks at the crystal, “Time to give it more magic.” She reaches out and starts to put what little healing magic she knows into the crystal. After she falls asleep again.

I drank every last bit of alcohol we had, and almost let our son die. Dragora went on a date, Sorago went after them, and then she came back with him in a healing crystal. I don't know the details of why and what happened between them."

Dragora yawns, "You didn't kill him. I stopped you from killing him when I punched you." She falls back asleep since she had been waking up periodically to make sure that the crystal was still working.
