I had a shiny geodude from Pokémon Crystal way back in the day. Was super upset I couldn’t trade it to evolve it because I didn’t know anyone with a trading cord.

hmm

-my first shiny was a hacked ditto traded to me by my cousin in white 2

-my first (?) legit shiny was a pupitar in black that i ran from because i didn't know it was shiny (? because my memory is fuzzy so it might've actually not happened but i swear i saw and ran from a purple pupitar)

-my first legit shiny that i caught was a random weedle i found at the beginning of X. i didnt know it was shiny until it sparkled and i flipped.

-my first hunted shiny was a remoraid in X that i found via chain fishing

-and my first hunted shiny at 1/8192 odds was a rattata in heartgold, which was a 5% encounter rate on that route

sorry for all the stories, i just rly lov talking about my shinies, im a 1/8192 odds shiny hunter now : D

I found a shiny caterpie in the beginning of Pearl but it was during the tutorial so I didn't have any pokeballs :,(

My first shiny pokemon I tried to find was a gyrados in pokemon X.

My first shiny pokemon I found on accident was a rockruff in pokemon sun.

First ever shiny was a shiny larvesta in Pokemon X.
I never really knew about shinies up to that point. My sister told me about shinies and how to shiny hunt. She shared some friend codes with me on friend safari and I started hunting. I wasn't really looking for a shiny larvesta, I was looking for a shiny growlithe. (Which I did not get whatsoever RIP. However, I SOS chained for one in Pokemon Sun later on in life.)

We're truth seekers and artists, perched on the boundary as we search for an answer.

Shiny Heatran in Omega Ruby was my first shiny. :D At first I encountered a normal one, though when I ran out of pokeballs, I resetted and then it turned out to be shiny. I'm glad I could catch it then.

I have been playing Pokémon since only Red, Blue and Yellow versions existed for the Gameboy... I never met a legitimate shiny without cheat codes to make them shiny until I was wondering around somewhere one time (with a cheat to trigger any species of Pokémon in existence in the wild) on Soul Silver... that has been the only shiny I ever met that I didn’t create. It was a Hawlucha.
