It's not very effective...
Angell, yours is at about half health. Trixa/miizyu, you have dealt about a third of its health.

Tackle was used! It does about half health.
The alolan rattata used scratch! It doesn't do much.

(Remember, if you want to train pokemon, you just ask to grind levels. However, all pokemon who go up at least one level go down to half health.)
