Miyah accepted his hand and shook it. She took the boxes and
started to hand them out to the people who had helped pay. "Shall
we find somewhere to eat these beautiful sweets?"
Milo snickered and nodded, looking around for a seating area.
Max glanced at Miyah for a moment before nodding to a few chairs by
the door. He yawned and went over to sit down. Austin glanced at
Milo for a moment and chuckled in amusement before following Max.
Miyah and Milo exchanged two macaroons for one donut ("Just glaze."
"You're the only person on this planet that prefers glaze over
chocolate."). "Anyone want some?" Miyah asked, taking a bite of the
macaroon.
Max looked up and nodded, "yeah I'll take a chocolate one." He said
kindly, "you can have some cookies if you want, I even managed to
snatch a few of the apricorn ones dad made before we left home." He
said with a grin.
Max nodded in agreement and looked thoughtful. "I'm sure if we
begged dad to he'd get Kibo or Charm to deliver some to us." He
said in amusement and took another bite of his donut. "After all
I'm sure he and mom would be willing to send us any items we might
need." He said kindly and smiled at Miyah.
"Honestly. The thing I miss from home is my mom's chocolate cake,
this cake is good, but no one can compare to hers." Austin said in
response to Max and Miyah, he ate a slice of his cake.
"Good point." Max said with a sigh in response to Miyah and nodded.
"Guess I'm used to being so close to home." He sighed and frowned.
He looked out the window as he felt a bit homesick.
Austin glanced at Milo as he thought he heard something. He nodded
in response as he made out what he said. "My dad can't cook to save
his life." He said in amusement.
Micah sat down with the others and hummed as he saw a lot of puffs
in his. "Ooh puffs." He said happily as he took out a coffee one.
He listened into the conversations as he looked down in thought.
Max nodded in response to Miyah and smiled. "Yeah we do, mom and
dad gave us some thing to remind us of home, and we'll find an
ocean soon if you want to fish." He said reassuringly and called
Suko out. The Quilava jumped onto Miyah's lap and smiled.
"Yeah she did...multiple times, but it always ends up with dad
making the oven explode, or the kitchen get on fire. It's a good
thing he knows how to repair appliances." Austin said in
amusement.
Scar was eating a cookie, she looked up and noticed Micah was in
deep thought, "hey are you okay?" She asked curiously.
Micah jumped a bit. "Yeah. Just missing home. I wonder how my older
sister and papa are doing since she was sick and papa was having
troubles with physical therapy." He replied as he played with the
paper on his puff.
Miyah smiled and pet the Quilava. "That does sound good," She
admitted. "We might have two homes, but we could fish on both of
them after all."
Milo laughed. "Sounds like a nightmare..." He hummed. "Colin tried
to teach Tucker how to use a computer once. It somehow ended with
the computer in three pieces."
Max nodded and smiled at Miyah. "Yeah we could, but look on the
bright side. This journey will be like the one mom and dad went on
in Johto all those years ago. They grew stronger in that trip, and
I'm sure we all will too." He said cheerfully. Suko smiled and
nudged Miyah's hand, he looked at Max's bag when the egg inside the
bag moved only slightly.
"It was." Austin said in an amused laugh. "Dad ended up burning a
hole through a pot once when he tried to cook for my birthday. At
least it wasn't that serious." He said with a smile and sighed.
"How did the computer end up in three pieces?"
Scar nodded in response to Micah and blinked. "I'm sure it'll be
alright." She said gently. "After all you can call them right?" She
asked kindly in an attempt to reassure him.
"True. I know JJ and Joey plan on calling their parents as well.
Probably should call Aunt Ro as well since she lives alone. She
would like a call." Micah replied with a nod.
