"Onion soup, huh?" Miyah tilted her head. "Sounds pretty good.
That's like, some specialty in Kalos I think. 'Cause they put all
these fancy cheeses and stuff around the rim of the bowl."
Deirdre looked up. “I’m just gonna get pesto gnocchi.” She said and
sighed as she shut the emu and looked out the window at the storm.
“It’s the evening, anyway. We’ll need to find somewhere to stay.”
She commented.
“I’m getting soup and grilled cheese.” Jenny said as she shut the
menu and smiled faintly at her brother.
“Ew! JJ and Joey are all lovey dicey and lone.” Simon snorted.
JJ grinned as she overheard Simon. "You know Si I wouldn't be
saying anything as you never know if someone will still your heart
while we are on our journey."
"I can see it now. He'll willingly share his candy with the
person." Joey teased slightly.
Micah shook his head at his cousins and Joey before looking at
Deirdre. "There may be a hotel around we can stay in Miss.." He
suggested before trailing off as he didn't know her name.
Max glanced at Deirdre and grabbed his Pokedex. He loaded up a town
map. "There's a Pokemon center not too far from here. Worst that'll
happen is we'll all get soaked on the way there." He said kindly
and glanced at Deirdre.
"Deirdre." Deirdre nods at Micah before turning back to Max and
nodding. "Easy enough. They have nice rooms there, anyway. And if
we're soaked, I assume everyone packed clothes." she snorted.
Jenny smiled as the waiter came back and took everyone's order.
Simon rolled his eyes. "Shut up!" he hissed quietly.
[stupid comment coming up but...magic backpacks!]
[Most likely big backpacks]
Max blinked. "I've got one change of clothes, and a pair of
pajamas. It's probably good that the center has a washer and
dryer." He muttered before looking up.
Austin looked up as the waiter walked over.
Scar nodded, "yeah I'm going to try it." She said kindly.
“You got us lost.” Ness grumbled, wiping her hand across her face.
“I can’t believe—“
Casey was pouting now. “I saw a cute Pokémon!” They protested,
brown eyes narrowing ever so slightly. “You can’t pin this on
me!”
“I just did! Can’t believe, I blink for one second and
everything goes to hell—“
“Oh look! A building!— I’m telling dad you said a bad word— Now
you’ll stop yelling at me!” Casey grinned and shoved their little
sister through the doors of the restaurant the others were in.
“Son of a—“
Casey held up their (probably waterlogged) dex threateningly and
Ness trailed off, wringing out her hair and grumbling.
"Same." Deirdre nods. "And like, a jacket and swimsuit, just
incase." she added and frowned before the waiter returned with
their food, setting it down in front of everyone.
"Looks good! Better than how good Joey
thinks JJ looks." Simon snorted as he got his food.
Jenny looked around the table before slowly beginning to eat.
“And I made a good call! Look! Those are the people from earlier!
And it looks like they multiplied or
something. Cellular division. I dunno.”
Ness shrugged, placing a new lollipop into her mouth. “Yeah?”
“Why don’t you say hi?”
“You’re so patronizing. You’re not my mom.”
Casey nudged her and padded off again, leaving her sighing in their
wake.
“Jerk,” Ness muttered, turning and spotting Simon.
Okay, she had two options; Go over and say hi, or turn and dash
off. Actually, the second one felt more appealing, considering she
should probably change out of her dripping wet clothes anyway.
"Thank you!" Miyah grinned at the waiter and looked ravenously at
her plate. "...A swimsuit? I guess there are a lot of rivers in
Kalos, right?" She looked up as she saw some complete stranger wave
and she awkwardly returned her eyes to her food.
Micah looked over as Ness and Casey entered the building and Ness
waved. "Ness, Casey good to see you made it." He said happily as
Flower waved hello at the two before starting to steal some of
Micah's food, not that the boy minded.
"That's a hard one to pull off Simon." Joey replied as JJ took a
bite of tofu steak.
Scar blinked she had always carried a swimsuit as well, "to be
fair. I always pack a swimsuit since Hoenn always had water." She
said kindly to Miyah. She began to eat her soup.
Max nodded and took a bite of his food. Austin took a bite of his
sandwich. "Didn't you and Max grow up in three island? I thought
you both always carried a swimsuit." Austin said thoughtfully.
Max shrugged. "The ocean on Three Island wasn't too safe to swim
in. Dad taught me to swim in New Bark's river." He replied to
Austin kindly and shrugged.
"Lots of rocks, and I've got the scar on my foot to prove it,"
Miyah shrugged. "New Bark's river was always much friendlier to be
around. I think Mom is the only person I know who doesn't mind
swimming in Three Island's water."
"But I figured there wouldn't be much water here. I didn't know
about the rivers until this morning. Which sucks. It sucks hard."
