Idk, but this is how I'll solve the problem.

Here are the possible scenarios: Getting the egg on the first try, getting the egg on the second try, not getting the egg on both tries. Thus, we need to find the probability of getting the egg on the first or second try. To do this, we need to find the probability of getting no eggs on two tries and subtract it from 1, since its the complement of the two.

Now the probability of not getting the egg on the first try is 8/9.

Next, we now need to find the probability of not getting the egg in the second try. The answer depends on which grass u clicked on the first try. If on the first try, u clicked in the middle. Then on the second try, ull always get the message, "the eggs is very close" no matter where the egg is. Now since u know, the egg is not in the middle, then of course ull turn to the other eight. But since the message is the same no matter where the egg is, thus the probability of not getting the egg on the second try given u clicked in the middle is 7/8.
Thus the probability of not getting the egg on both tries given u clicked in the middle is (8/9)*(7/8 ) = 7/9. Making the probability of getting the egg in first or second try is (1 - 7/9) = 2/9.

But what if u clicked in the edges? Since the egg is not on the spot where u clicked first, then there would only be eight options left. But this time, ur probability of getting the egg is higher. If the egg is near u, a message "u are very close will appear". But if not, a message " the egg should not be far away " will appear instead.
Now u will not look for the probability of which message will appear but instead u will look for the probability of getting the egg given which message will appear.
Now if ur in the corner, n the message, "u are very close" will appear, u have 1/3 probability to be correct. But if the message is "should not be far away" the probability is 1/5. Thus the probability of getting the egg in the second try is (1/3+1/5)/2 = 4/15. Hence the probability of not getting the egg is 11/15.

But if ur not in the corner but still in the edges, the probability of getting the egg if the message is "u are very close" is 1/5 and "should not be far away" is 1/3. Thus by the same calculations the probability of not getting the egg is still 11/15.
Therefore, the probability of not getting the egg on both tries given ur in the edge is (11/15)*(8/9) = 88/135. Making the probability of getting the egg in first or second try is (1 - 88/135) = 47/135.

We can conclude that if u click first on the edges (which is what most ppl here do), ur probability of getting the egg is 47/135.

But what if u don't know that it is preferably to click on the edges first, thus ur first click is totally random. Hence ur probability of getting the egg within the two tries is (8(47/135) + (2/))/ 9 = 406/1215.
