Stryke was almost hollow inside after losing his wife and having his daughter merely rejected by her as well. He decided he would do what he can for his daughter even with the pit in his stomach. ''I will help with that. Hopefully more dragons will bond with the people here and expand our connections.'' He smiled before heading off to do as he said he would.

Kalores poked out her head, looking at Sapphire with surprise. ''Humans...accepting us?"

Rose smiled. "Thank you Father" she said as she looked around. She was happy to have the dragons on their side, though wasn't happy with the way her mother acted toward her or her father. It hadn't been right.

Sapphire nodded. "Yes. Ratholas and I both ended up with a human to bond with" she replied.

Ratholas cringed hearing Sapphire, as he knew he had to face the humans. They just brought back terrible memories and he wasn't sure how Sapphire was handling her emotions. He was a sensitive dragon when it came to family.

Sarkany exploded with joy, running out with glee. ''Does that mean I get to have all the sheep I ever want?!" She cried happily.

Kona came running back in despair. ''Rose! Rose!''

Kovu decided that he was going to help Rose's father as well when he wanted his dragon back.

Sapphire shook her head. "You would need to ask the humans before taking their food" she replied. "But please, follow me" she said as she took off to the sky to get back to the village.

Rose looked over. "Kona, what is it" she asked rather worried.

Fang walked over to Styke and tilted his head before nuzzling the retired leader. He was hoping to get a bond with a human.

Sarkany's excitement died as she looked at her mother with disappointment. ''The humans will not give me a sheep. They will just laugh at me.'' She grumbled.

Kalores rose up and nuzzled Sarkany, before placing her on her back and grabbing Kanguard. ''Come on now, we are going to the human village.''

Kanguard was surprised following after Kalores as she brought the small dragon to her side. He spread his little wings and began to fly after Kalores who followed Sapphire. He glances into Ratholas cave seeing the other dragon firmly stay still.

Ratholas was trying to muster up his strength to go back to the humans.

Kona was rather ragged and would have bruises the following day. ''They burnt down my hut!" She cried. ''Your mother sent men out looking for you and this one returned...he attacked me...then he burnt down the hut! Your mother told him!" She was in despair.

Stryke fell back on his back with a bright light nearly blinding him. ''What was that?!"

Rose was shocked. "She did WHAT?! That's horrible! I will be sure that we start rebuilding your hut, and we will make sure they cant get to it" she replied.

Fang jumped back. *Ow, my muzzle. That hurt* he thought as he rubbed his muzzle before he glanced at Styke. He moved quickly to help get him back on his feet.

Kona smiled through her tears at Rose so thankful to have her as a friend.”I cannot repay you for your kindness...I cannot. I do not understand what is wrong with people and they just turn on you. I should truly ask if you are alright. Your mother had to have blown up on you to go after me. Oh, I hope I didn’t cause any of this.” She glances around and noticed part of the villagers are missing.

Stryke was beyond concerned when he heard Fang.”Am I thinking in a different voice? Did that just change the voice in my head?” He thanked Fang for helping him to his feet.”Thank you dragon, thank you.” He was trying to get the voice back by talking to himself. At least he thought he was talking to himself, he didn’t know too much about bonds.

Rose shook her head. "You didn't cause any of this. I promise" she said. "She was mad at me for not staying in the village."

Fang tilted his head. *Thinking in a different voice, how is that possible* he thought.

Stryke looked at Fang again, pointing at him. ''Can you talk?"

Kona shook her head before she realized the dragons. ''Oh my goodness. Are you sure she wasn't angry other those?" She pointed at Draig then looked at Fang hearing Stryke. ''You found the dragons.''

Rose sighed. "My mother just left, so I would assume that it was after I went to find them that this happened" she said as she looked at the dragons. She saw Sapphire coming in to land and smiled. "Oh, and I managed to get a bond with one" she replied. "With their help, your hut will be built in no time."

Fang tilted his head. *Uh, normally when we talk you humans cant understand us* he thought. *Unless...* His eyes lit up as he picked up Stryke. *I got a bond with a human!*

Kona bowed her head with a small smile to Rose. ''I thank you, I truly do. I tried to reason with them...but your mother didn't say anything nor did the people with her.'' She sighed. ''I thank you.'' She looked towards Sapphire, astonishment crossing her face. She was amazed to know that Rose was able to bond with a dragon. ''Look, that one is bringing more dragons!'' She saw Kalores and the various other dragons following Sapphire. ''Which one is yours? The blue one?"

Stryke looked so excited hearing Fang and laughed. ''I can hear you! We bonded! I bonded with a dragon! I bonded with you! I bonded! What is your name, dragons have names of course! I am Stryke, Rose's father. '' He had to be formal.

Rose nodded. "Her name is Sapphire. She is the leader of the dragons. I guess our bond works because my father also just made me leader of the tribe" she said as Sapphire walked over.

Fang smiled. *I cant believe I actually bonded with a human. My name is Fang* he said and gave a toothy smile to show why with his sharp fangs.

Kona looked shocked and grabbed Rose's hands out of the excitement. ''You are the tribe leader!? I am so happy you are finally the leader! Your mother did not deserve the position compared to you! How amazing! You are the Tribe Leader and this is the Dragon Leader.'' She smiled releasing her hands. ''I am so happy for you. You will lead this tribe into a wonderful direction.''

Stryke laughed looking at the teeth. ''You do have fangs!" He chuckled. ''I welcome you here, Fang! Know that I would never hurt a dragon and never have wanted to.'' He sighed. ''I promise... I just thought dragons forever hated humans as you ignored us...turns out you needed a bond! A fairy tale thought!''

Rose smiled. "Thank you Kona. Thanks to this bond we have, we will be able to learn more about the dragons, and they can learn more about us. Hopefully we will be able to keep peace now with their help."

Fang chuckled. *Humans and dragons have a complicated history. Much like what happened here some didn't like the bond that was shared and that's what caused our wars.*

Kona watches Rose before she looks off at Sapphire, still amazed. ''Did Kovu get a bond?" She asked quietly. She was now worried that he ran off after Rose received her bond and he did not.

Ratholas couldn't abandon his group and finally built up the courage to go to the village. He was actually rather scared that Kovu didn't want anything to do with him now.

Stryke shook his head hearing the tragic past. ''My wife hated dragons and didn't believe in bonds. I can easily believe how terrible the world was before. I hope the wars are over...You dragons probably just retaliated after we went after you. I am still sorry and I am sorry for what my wife thinks. I didn't think this day was possible! I hope more bonds are made.'' He glances at the other dragons and people joyfully greeting each other.

Rose nodded. "Yes, but his dragon seemed quite upset."

Sapphire looked at Kona and gave her a polite nod before she looked around.

Fang smiled. "Some humans don't understand what can be. Your daughter did wonderful in helping us" he replied.

Stryke smiled softly at Fang as he agreed. ''She is a wonderful person and I am proud that she is the leader now. I know this is a wonderful thought to have dragons and humans on the same side, but do you plan to stay in the village?" He asked. ''I am sure you used to live in caves...maybe we can get you some type of house!"

Kona frowned a bit with a small nod. ''That is disappointing.'' She then remembered and looked a little frightened. ''Is he gone?" She asked quietly. ''The one that tried to marry you?"

Ratholas landed in the village, glancing around to see all the mingling.

Fang shrugged. "I like it here, and I think Sapphire does too. We might just live here with you if that's alright."

Kona sighed with some relief. ''Wonderful!'' She glances at Ratholas who arrived before looking back at Rose. ''That is good. You are now free to make all your decisions!"

Stryke smiled happily. ''Of course! You may live here as long as you wish! What do you dragons eat? What do you dragons like to sleep on! We have to make our guests comfortable!"

Rose smiled and nodded. "And it was Cyrus who killed the dragon" she replied. "Gone for good. We gave Sapphire permission to kill him if he came back to harm us."

Fang smiled. *We like meat, and fish, and we usually sleep on rocks, though its not always the most comfortable.*
