Maeve stuck up a sec. "Hold up a sec, questioner. Or join our battle? We're kinda... overrun here." She said, before commanding her Pokémon to use another move. "Oh! Pom, Sand Attack!" She commanded, her newly-nicknamed Aipom kicking up a cloud of sand.

"Stunky, Posion Gas!" Maeve said, instinctively covering her mouth as a purple smoke emitted, poisoning some of the electric-types surrounding them.

"Oh man! Uh, Ember again!" Sean said, slightly discouraged. Chimchar jumped off his shoulder, small balls of fire being flung at the Shinxes. Sean looked at Maeve, who gave him a thumbs up, so Sean continued his mix of Scratch and Ember.

Both Sofia and her partner stared at the duo in confusion. While the little girl had answered her question, the boy had remained silent. "if we're all going to the same place, we should go together!" Sofia continued, ignoring the girl's comment about Mr. Sorrel and the fact that the boy hadn't said anything to her at all.

Buneary rushed up for another Pound on Taillow, which landed again. Taillow was sent back a few feet, and now struggled to stand. The wild Taillow flew to Buneary at fast speeds and went in for a Peck. "Dodge!" Ben roared, as Buneary successfully dodged the oncoming peck. Taillow's eyes widened as he blew past Buneary and hit a tree. "Ouch..Pokeball! Go!" Ben said, as he threw another pokeball.

Ding..
Ding...
Ding....
Catch! Ben's eyes widened as he yelled in excitement. "My first caught pokemon." Ben said, as he sent Taillow out. The Taillow looked at Buneary for a moment before flying up to Ben's shoulder. "Now..Let's go to Jubilife."

Adrian and Phoebe returned to where Sean and Maeve had been.
"Oh... You needed help?" Adrian blatantly asked, his Piplup crying its name after him.
Phoebe held onto her egg though let her Eevee off of her shoulder to join the battle.

"Eevee, use Helping Hand!" Phoebe ordered, her Eevee proceeding to use the move to assist Sean's Chimchar, boosting its next attack.
"Piplup. use Bubble!" Adrian commanded, the Penguin Pokemon then opened its beak and release a stream of clear bubbles towards the Wild Pokemon.

"Thanks, Pheobe!" Sean yelled before instructing Chimchar to use Ember again. The fire scared away multiple Shinx and Luxio, while the rest fainted or were too hurt to fight.

"Let's go before they come back!" Maeve yelled. She ran back down the path, her Pokémon trailing after her.

Sorrel turns to look at the girl, raising a disbelieving eyebrow. "Are you kidding?" he demands incredulously. "Didn't you hear me arguing with the battering ram from hell earlier? And you want to willingly subject yourself to that?"

Evelyn hears Maeve and Sean's shouting before she sees them, watching as they race down the path. She exchanges a glance with her still-paralyzed Pokemon and makes a quick decision, snatching up the PokeBall and Sheryl to run after them, calling, "Don't leave me behind!"

Maybe not the brightest idea, but she opens her PokeDex as she runs, curious as to her new Pokemon's capabilities. Mareep... hm. She views his ability, and her mouth forms an "o" as understanding dawns on her. "Static", probably from all the electricity discharged by his woolly pelt, giving Sheryl a Paralyzed status. At least it didn't do any damage.

Sean continued looking around, slightly upset at the fact he'd gotten his hopes up that he'd catch a Shinx. Walking, though, he soon realized he'd been separated from everyone in the thick trees that lined Route 202. "Hello?" He called into the trees.

Sean received no response except his voice echoing back and Chimchar's sharp cries in fear. "Stay close, buddy.' Sean whispered to the fire-type.

Maeve turned around to Evelyn. "Hello! Evelyn, right?" She waved, a friendly smile on her face. "Nice Pokémon!" She grinned.

Stunky approached Mareep, looking slightly wary as her gaze shifted from the electric type to the paralyzed Sheryl.

"Is your Pokémon paralyzed?" Maeve asked.

Ben recalls his pokemon as he begins to walk further down the route. "The amount of trainers in this route is ridiculous.." He mutters as a Trainer runs up to him. "Hey! Did you know that when a two trainer's eyes meet, then they must battle?" He asks, as Ben looks the trainer in his eyes. "Ugh.." Ben mutters, as he sends out his Taillow. "Time to put you to use!" Ben says, as Taillow roars in excitement.
"Zigzagoon! Go!" The Trainer replies, as the Zigzagoon bursts out of his pokeball.

Adrian stood with his Piplup in his arms, noticing Sean had gone missing. “Hey, Pheebs, I’ll be back I think I dropped one of my Poké Balls.” he lied to his sister, then proceeding to look for Sean though also hoping to find some new Pokémon to capture in order to secure a spot in the contest.

Phoebe frowned at the sight of Evelyn’s Budew being paralyzed due to the fact that she felt helpless in this situation. “If my Eevee knew Refresh or if I had any Paralyze Heals I would have given you one...” she assured with a frown. Moments later, Phoebe’s egg shook very violently and nearly broke free from the trainer’s grasp which startled her.

"Yeah," Evelyn says, sighing helplessly and patting Sheryl softly. "You did a good job, though. I'll just have to wait for the Pokemon Center, though. But before then..." She procures a Potion from her bag--her parents have given her the "never leave home without a Potion of reasonable strength!" lecture so many times now--and gives the Mareep a spray, grinning when his HP bar fills up.

"Hey, Maeve--that is your name right--weren't you with someone else earlier?" Evelyn frowns a little. She'd seen Adrian head off on his own, but not Maeve's friend.

"Tall, annoying guy? Sean? Yeah, he's right-" Maeve said, starting to sling an arm around Sean's shoulder but finding nothing there.

"Well this is awkward. Where'd he go?" Maeve said, looking around. "O, yeah, I have some Cheri Berries, my sister gardens." Maeve said, handing Evelyn one. "I'm gonna go look for Sean." She said, an unusally worried tone in her voice.

Sean sighed. "Hello?" He yelled for the like, fiftieth time, before sitting by a tree. "I'll just.... wait for Maeve to find me." He muttered, closing his eyes.

“I feel like that’s what my brother went to go do.” Phoebe told Maeve, following behind her. “He definitely thinks Sean is cute so he probably got worried or something.”
Phoebe’s Eevee giggled at her trainer’s statement while prancing behind her happily while Phoebe held onto her egg.

After a bit of searching, Adrian found himself with his Piplup in some dense trees, darker than the usual path of the Route. “Sean?” he called worriedly, his Piplup crying out a very similar sounding “Lup!” after his trainer.

Ina smiled and turned to face the new girl, ignoring the rude remarks of Sorrel. “ I guess you’re right there! Ignore that sore of a guy, the only battering ram of hell here is in his imagination. Hi, I’m Ina. And this is Woopwoop,” she pats Woopwoop’s head.

"Taillow! Use Peck!" Ben roared. Taillow flew to Zigzagoon and hit him with a swift peck that dealt alot more damage than normal. The Zigzagoon fell down, and fainted. "Oh man.." the Trainer said, as he paid Ben the fee and ran off. "Nice! That was really quick..And easy." Ben said, as Taillow smiled at him. "Now let's get going." He adds. Taillow sits on Ben's shoulder as the two walk further down the route.

"Does he? Sean commented on that." Maeve called back, before she ran into the woods, very worried. Her Pokémon followed behind her. "Sean? Seeeaaaan?" Maeve yelled, rushing around.

Sean had just about fallen asleep when he heard a voice, both male and female, calling his name. He yelled, "I'm here!" but didn't see as much as a shadow of a person. "Hello?"

"What do you mean he commented on that?" Phoebe asked the girl curiously, following close behind Maeve.
She decided to not wear out her voice and call for Sean too as she could hear Adrian nearby doing the same thing.

Adrian heard someone's voice nearby and followed the sound of it, pushing through the trees and surrounding grass until he finally saw Sean against the tree and stood there silently for a moment.
"W-Where'd you... where'd you go?" Adrian stuttered nervously.

Sean looked up, a grateful smile on his face. "Hey, thanks. Was pretty lost there, I was wandering through the grass and I- I guess I just ended up here?" Sean shrugged, comforting Chimchar, who'd fainted after a Starly had gotten to him.

"He just asked who Adrian was. Probably commenting on that." Maeve shrugged. "I think Adrian found him, I'm going back." She said, turning around with a small frown on her face as she swatted away leaves and brances in her way.

Phoebe noticed the small frown on the other girl's face and decided to follow her considering Adrian & Sean would eventually make their way back to the others eventually.
"Maeve," she panted as she had to swat away the returning leaves and branches the other trainer had been pushing aside before her, "... what's the matter?"

Adrian then looked down and noticed the fainted Fire-type and knelt down beside it.
"Here, uh... try giving it this..." Adrian suggested, pulling a Sitrus Berry out of his bag.
"I found a few of these in the trees and bushes and, if I remember correctly, they should give Pokemon some health back." he explained, looking up at the other boy with a small smile.

Sean laughed, nearly guffawing. "You're really a newbie, huh? Sitrus berries only work on conscious Pokémon. Chimchar's fainted, I'm taking him to the Pokémon center. Since you came from that way..." Sean smiled, cradling his partner in his arm as he rushed back in the direction Adrian came from.

"Nothing, why?" Maeve asked, a leaf hitting her in the face, she could see the clearing they'd come from. Her Pokémon chased after her.
