Phoebe shook her head at this and commanded her partner to attack the Starly & Shinx with Tackle.
Adrian included himself in attacking and his Piplup blasted the duo with a Bubble Attack, following it up with Pound on the Shinx.
The Shinx looked a bit worn out from battle and Adrian took this to his advantage. He reached in his bag and found a Poke Ball he had from home and tossed it at the Shinx, though the Electric-type broke out of it moments after which prompted the boy to use another Poke Ball on it with the same result. This caused Adrian continue the battle by attacking the Shinx with Pound once again whereas Phoebe's Eevee used Helping Hand on Piplup to strengthen the attack before attacking the opposing Starly with Tackle.
Both Pokemon now looked significantly weaker, though Adrian's Piplup and Phoebe's Eevee were getting tired themselves.
"Third time's the charm..." Adrian mumbled to himself, this time throwing a Premiere Ball at the Electric-type. 1...2...3... Click!. The Shinx was successfully captured. Phoebe then looked through her bag for Poke Balls, though saw she had none much to her surprise. "W-Wait! I want that Starly!"

Ben pulled out his Pokedex to gather a better understanding of Starly as Buneary awaited for his signal to attack. "Starly! use Tackle!" The youngster said, as Starly tried to tackle Buneary. "Ah...a Normal/Flying type..Should be fair game." Ben said, as Buneary tried to dodge Starly's attack, but failed. "Ouch. Get em back with a Pound!" Ben roared. Buneary struggled to stand as she rushed to the Starly and went in for her attack. Starly's eyes widened as she noticed Buneary too late and her hit landed on the Starly.

Quickly, she looks at Sheryl's attacks--Absorb and Growth. Growth is a booster, she thinks, frowning, but she doesn't have the time as the Bidoof attacks instantly with tackle. She winces as Sheryl staggers from the attack. "Absorb?" she suggests, but it seems to be all Sheryl needs, sapping a good quarter of the Bidoof's health and regaining half of that.

- also relatively easy, lowlevel pokemon can appear on the route i.e. aipom
- POKEMON NOT FROM SINNOH CAN APPEAR PLEASE BE REASONABLE THO ))
Maeve sighed. "Nice job, Sean, made the guy think wrong."
Sean rolled his eyes. "He took my comment literally. Stunky is a Poison Type." He muttered, before turning to the side and walking into a more grassy area, looking for any Pokémon in particular, before a Shinx appeared.
"Oh man! Chimchar, go!"
Maeve looked around for a Pokémon as she heard a rustling in a bush. She stuck a hand near it, only to be greated with a hand-like tail.
"Ai-POM!" An Aipom yelled. Maeve yelped in surprise. "Stunky, Scratch!"
The Aipom retailiated with a Scratch too.
"Stunky, Poison it!" Maeve yelled before hurling a Pokeball at the Monkey-like pokemon.
Click... Click... DING!
"Yeah!" Maeve cheered.

"Don't worry, Eevee, we'll catch someone soon." Phoebe assured her partner who seemed disappointed that she couldn't defeat the Starly. Soon after, both Adrian and Phoebe were approached by two younger twins.
"Hi! I'm Lola!" the first one greeted.
"I'm Lily!" the second one introduced.
"And we challenge you two old people to a Double Battle!" they challenged in chorus.
Phoebe and Adrian looked at each other before shrugging and accepting the challenge and the two younger twins smirked at one another.
The twin girls sent out a Growlithe and Poliwag, which Phoebe fell in love with the latter. Adrian decided to battle with his newly captured Shinx due to having a type advantage over the Poliwag and Phoebe battled with her only Pokemon, Eevee. blahblahblah Adrian & Phoebe win yay

[I need to get pokeballs before I get MAH STARLY! Joking around with that, I don't really like Starly like that tbh. But since you give me the choice to find a pokemon not from sinnoh, then I guess i could make a Caterpie appear or so.]

"Good job!" Evelyn exclaims, and Sheryl positively preens, even as the Bidoof shakes itself off, growling at Sheryl. With a whimper, Evelyn watches as Sheryl's attack drops. Fortunately, Absorb seems to be a Special attack. "Hit it with another Absorb!"
Sheryl obeys eagerly, and Evelyn watches as the Bidoof's HP slips from green to yellow while Sheryl's fills up completely. Threatened, the Bidoof goes for another Tackle, sending Sheryl skidding back a few feet, but even before Evelyn can call out a command, the Budew saps up the rest of the Bidoof's HP.
"Woah," Evelyn says as the battle ends, Sheryl skipping to her with only a few bruises. "You're clever, aren't you," she coos, bending down to pat her Pokemon on the head. "Good job!"

Sean screamed, picking up Maeve's attention.
She smirked. "This reminds me of the time Chelsea's Meowth-"
"Don't talk about that! And help me!" Sean spluttered, his Pokémon making feeble attempts to attack.
Luckily, Maeve had healed her new Aipom, so she sent her out, along with her Skuntank. "Riiight. Skuntank and Aipom, use scratch!"
"Chimchar, Ember!" Sean commanded.

woopwoop looked around cheerful-nervously and noticed the sparsity of people.

Adrian and Phoebe returned to Sean and Maeve once their battle was over.
"What's going on?" the girl asked watching dumbfounded as the Pokemon angrily approached the other two.

"That's not even--" Sorrel takes a deep breath as if to calm himself. "Look, Eenie, or Ima, or whatever your name is--" Ina, his brain supplies helpfully, "--I know you didn't do it on purpose, except maybe I was expecting an apology because you bowled me over like this is Wii Sports!"

Evelyn takes a long look down at the route before her, squinting to see the next town. It'll take a while, especially since she knows how long battling can drag out, but she does want some potions. She has a few PokeBalls, gifts from her parents before she left, but that's it. Though... considering Sheryl's Absorb, she might not need it as much.
"Come on, Sheryl, let's keep going."

"Buneary!!" Buneary cried, as she smiled at the Taillow. "Let's start this off with a Pound!" Ben roared.

Sorrel makes a frustrated noise and throws his hands up in the air. "You know what, I'm done," he says, taking sharp breaths to try and calm himself down. "Bye." Without another word, he stalks off towards Route 202, suddenly extremely conscious of the fact that it's just him and Ina. As if to say Finally, the Absol rises to her feet and trots after him.
"Dude, why are you following me?" he asks her with a slightly irritable bite to his tone.

Evelyn keeps moving, setting a slower pace so Sheryl can keep up and keeping an eye out for wild Pokemon, hoping nothing fire or flying pops out. Sheryl makes a noise of warning just as the grass rustles. She freezes, holding her PokeDex out as a blue head pokes its way out of the grass.
Quickly, Evelyn looks at her PokeDex--Mareep, male, level two.

Sofia sighed as entered Sandgem town. Stupid brother making me miss the meeting with Professor Rowan completely, she thought in annoyance. Although she understood her brother's reluctance to let her go, she was still upset he ended up making her late to the most important meeting in her life.
Upon arriving at the lab, she found a small package bearing her name by the door. It contained a simple pokeball and a blue-gray pokedex. A note attached read: To Sofia, this is your new partner and pokedex. I wish you good luck on your journey! - Professor Rowan. Sofia held the pokeball in her hand in wonder, all her annoyance melting away at the sight of the beginning of her dream. Time to meet my new partner! she thought with excitement. She threw the ball in the air, and with a zap of red light, a shinx landed neatly in front of her. Surprised, she blurted out "was this done on purpose???" staring at the electric type with the same eyes as her own. "Well nevermind that, I guess I should name you," she crouched in front of the pokemon, "how's keith sound?" She smiled. The shinx shinxed in agreement. "Alright Keith, let's go to Jubilife city!" Sofia cheered, "It's time for me to become the champion!"
Sofia and her partner left Sandgem after a stop to the pokemart to buy a few potions and pokeballs with the money her brother had gifted her. Upon entering Route 202 she was immediately greeted with two fellow trainers, a boy and a girl, both with intense expressions. Sofia blinked, and without thinking called out "Hey! Are you going to Jubilife?"

Woopwoop looked up at her trainer ,smiling clueless as always. At least they finally left whatever that place was. She snuggled into her trainer’s arms.
Ina looked up at the sound of another individual approaching.
“Huh? Oh yeah! But you can’t go this way! Because that would be following Mr. Sorrel right here! And he doesn’t like that!”

[totally off-topic post but i need to edit some pokemon and stuff]
Adrian & Phoebe both trailed off a bit from Maeve & Sean in order to train. In the events of their training, Adrian's Piplup learned Peck and Adrian released his Shinx back into the wild due to the fact that it wasn't behaving and seemed to be more comfortable as a Wild Pokemon than in captivity.
Soon after, Phoebe's Eevee was revealed to know Covet during a battle against a Trainer's Kricketune. The girl also found a Pokemon Egg with distinct purple markings and covered with ovals. The egg seems close to hatching as it shakes and glows frequently.

"Mareep, huh," Evelyn muses aloud. Electric type... and Sheryl is Grass type, which means she has the advantage here. "Um, Sheryl, use Absorb!"
Sheryl obeys, getting a jump on the unsuspecting Pokemon. He squeals with surprise, woolly fur sparking with electricity as his HP drops rapidly, Sheryl's attack having landed a critical hit. But it seems he's not the only one affected--Sheryl cries out, twitching slightly from the electricity.
Instantly worried, Evelyn checks Sheryl's status--Paralyzed? She doesn't have a Paralyze Heal! She chews her lip anxiously as the Mareep, HP nearly gone, staggers to his feet, probably preparing to attack Sheryl, who's unable to dodge. Evelyn makes a quick decision, grabbing for an empty PokeBall at her waist, taking care to aim for the unsteady Pokemon, and throws.
The PokeBall hits and the automatic mechanics trigger the PokeBall to open, trapping the Mareep inside before hitting the grassy floor. It rocks once, twice, and three times, the third weaker than the rest, before stilling. Evelyn breathes out a sigh of relief, approaching the PokeBall with a healthy amount of suspicion to pick it up.

"Now..It's time I catch my first pokemon!" Ben said, as he threw a Pokeball at Taillow. The Pokeball hits!

BREAK!! The wild Taillow broke free! "Ugh. Buneary, you know what to do."
