[Select all pokemons] - Storage boxes !
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Rejected → [Select all pokemons] - Storage boxes !So what i wanted to suggest is to add an extra 'Select all pokemon' option in the storage box.
Well at times there might be a situation you want to shift all pokemons in a box to a separate box and if your box is at a limit of 250-1000 you need to manually check every box to select each pokemon even though you know that you need to select all the pokemons to move it to another box as intended but it becomes a very lengthy, boring and time consuming process.
Here's an example of what i mean :
We already have an 'Unselect all' option so why not 'Select all' ? :p
So don't you think it would be awesome and super convenient to have a 'Select all' button somewhere maybe at the top or right or anywhere close by ? After all it won't be any harm to anyone.
However, that was just a personal opinion of mine i'd like to hear your views on this topic ! ^^
Regards,
Jack_Sparrow !
I feel like the lack of a "select all" button is in terms with "Safe Mode", which can be toggled on and off at a user's discretion. In manually selecting the number of Pokemon, one is (presumably) less likely to make mistakes in moving or releasing Pokemon with the one-by-one.
From my personal experience of not remembering what I put in which box, this one-by-one approach keeps me from doing something embarrassingly stupid. But so goes my "two cents" on the matter.

Take it this way though we already have a release button right ? If one wants they can manually select all pokemons and still accidentally release all right ? I don't think selecting all pokemons directly or manually would cause any INCREASE/DECREASE in such accidents. You can manually do the same it's just a suggestion to remove complexity and make shifting more efficient.

Repeating the same thing again incidents like these keeps happening and one can't do anything about it.
It's just the individual user's fault if something like this happens and this won't make any changes in such incidents as it keeps happening every now and then one must needs to accept it.
You get scammed ? You get looted ? You release your stuff ?
Why is someone else to be blamed then ?
That ends the point however you are feel free to think whatever you want.
Apart from that 'Select all' would simply mean to 'select all'. It wouldn't mean 'select ALL-all'. If one can't comprehend basic english and despite of that commits a mistake no one is else to be blamed then.
However thanks for your valuable opinion ! :)
Adding to what @kikkoman1 just said my suggestion is just a base one, it can be modified as and where required. For example to defend that 'Safety' point of view we could add an additional confirmation box from the page when we select the whole box and if we click release all by mistake ? Or something like @kikkoman1 just said to limit the releasable pokemons to x5 or anything like that could be implemented along with this suggestion.
At the end all i want is that people shouldn't waste time with manually selecting like 1000's of pokemons when required and it would ultimately help in simplification of the overall process.

And that’s before we get into the point that releasing groups of “just” 5 Pokemon at a time shares “much annoyance” as manually selecting one-by-one.
EDIT: Changing my vote from "no support" to "this suggestion has been suggested before"
Riako has stated his opinion on a "Select All" button beforehand. (1st Suggestion) [Interestingly, he sums up my point about why this would be a bad idea.]
"sort of" repeat suggestion (No. 2)
3rd repeat suggestion
4th repeat suggestion
5th repeat suggestion
Which would make this the 6th repeat suggestion, unless I have missed something in my searching.
