"Red is Victor's favourite colour too." Laura observed. She felt a bit uneasy at talking to Mel without Victor, or anyone else she knew. These people were just faceless stories for her before, like protagonists of fairy tales, but she now began to realise that everything was indeed very real.
Her Kangaskhan and Meowstic came out of their Pokeballs, as they always did when they sensed that Laura felt uncomfortable.

Mel nearly leapt out of her skin when the Kangaskhan and Meowstic appeared. "Well, red is an amazing color." She grinned. "I don't think we've ever properly introduced ourselves. I'm Mel, and this is Riu." She offered, glancing at Laura.

Yuki stopped near the others. He looked up to Laura and Mel. Tiger came running by moments later. He stopped next to his Pokémon "Yuki for the tenth time don't run away from me like that!" He said partially panting.

"Nice to meet you, and Kanga, Meowstic, you shouldn’t scare people." Laura said, embarrassed at Kanga and Meowstic scaring Mel. Kangaskhan's baby leapt out of its pouch and began crawling around. Kanga's attention changed and she scolded her baby and put it back inside the pouch.

"Who's this?" Meowstic asked as she looked at Yuki while cleaning her fur.

"Nice to meet you too." Mel said cheerfully, before glancing at Yuki. "Oh, hey Tiger!" She grinned, waving at him. "Isn't it a lovely day I chase down your Pokémon?" She teased.

Riu snorted.

Tiger sighed and looked over to Mel. "Yeah a perfect day for that" he said kindly. Yuki looked at the others and went to Meowstic.

"I'm Yuki." the Pokemon said kindly. I only ran off because you didnt know where to go for food" the pokemon retorted to Tiger slyly.

"I wasnt sure on where to go" Tiger muttered in embarrassment and sighed. He looked at Mel. "So what are you two doing?" He asked gently.

Mel snickered. "Hey, there's a lot of cafés here. It's kinda scary, to be honest." She shrugged. "We're just talking. Getting to know each other, maybe."

Riu rolled his eyes and looked around.

"H.U.R.T. Little one. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT IT!!!!" Kangaskhan shouted at her baby. She had noticed that the baby had a minor cut on the knee.

"Calm down, Kanga." Laura said, and then lowered her voice to a whisper. "But I know you won’t stop till Junior is all well. I usually wouldn’t do it to any other Pokémon for such a minor injury but you're worried so..."
She touched Kanga's baby on the knee cut, and with a shimmer it began to heal. She tried to hide the healing knee from Tiger and Mel, but not with much success.

"Anyways, the café you pointed out is a good place." Laura said to Mel, changing the topic.

Mel raised her eyebrows but didn't comment on the healing, knowing it could potentially make things more awkward. "See? Told you." She said smugly to Riu. "I really just wanted to go there because it was red." She shrugged. "I don't even remember what it's called."

Casey nodded. "Right. I'm going back to Lumiose then- oh, yeah, most local trainers use skates, by the way." Casey grinned as she pulled out a skateboard, and July hopped on. Casey recalled her other Pokemon. "Catch ya later, Mira."

Z got bored waiting and walked out of the hotel. She sent out Scar, her Liepard. She spotted the others after walking around for a few minutes.
’I can’t imagine what you see in people like them.’ Scar said ’Why do you want me to meet them again?’ she asked, clearly annoyed.

Tiger nodded to Mel and looked over as he heard Scar. "Oh hey it's Z" he whispered quietly? He then glanced at Yuki and sighed.

"what are you looking at? I'm hungry!" the Pokémon said quietly. Tiger laughed lightly and sighed. "Well the red cafe belonge to Team Flare..." He said lowly as he heard Mel's question.

Riu flicked his ears in obvious annoyance after hearing Scar, turning his head away with a huff.

"Play nice." Mel said lightly, glancing at Tiger. "Oh, it does? C'mon.. Red is such a cool color too.." She pouted for a moment. "Oh well. Anything else around here?"
