"I would very much mind actually!" Marius said, letting go of the
hold he had on the water and letting it wash over him. "If you
didnt hear me the past three times I said it, I want nothing to do
with your darn fire crystal!"
Alex and Eliza were padding down a trail in the woods,
chatting softly. "Alex, you can't just demand that people you don't
know get out of a store you don't even own." She chided him softly,
making her older brother flustered. He opened his mouth to snap
something back when they both heard arguing. "Let's check it out."
Alex said almost immediately, making Eliza groan lightly. "Alex,
no. It's none of our business." She protested, shaking her head and
making her black hair sway. Alex huffed and picked her up with
ease, carrying her in the direction of the noise. "Alex, no! Oh my
god!" She whined, and Alex immediately shushed her. He set her down
when the people came into sight, and they padded towards them.
"Hello?" Alex hummed, feeling though they were close enough for the
others to hear. Eliza studied the people arguing, her bright blue
eyes flickering to the ones just kinda watching.
"Oh! Hello" Marius said, wringing his hair out as he looked at the
two newcomers. "Welcome to this merry band of misfits, where the
elements are at our sway. I'm Marius." He held his hand out to Alex
first, "Love the bad boy aesthetic" Marius winked.
Fox sits down, and starts to meditate, so close to reaching the
secret of communication with his crystal. He hears a voice that is
distant, telling him that everybody is waiting for him to make a
move with everybody else. If only it were simple, if I could
communicate with my crystal, I could probably learn a more advanced
form of using fire.
Alex snorted, but shaked Marius' hand anyway. "I'm Alex.
This," he pointed to Eliza, who gave a sweet smile, "is my little
sister Eliza." He paused lightly as he let his hand fall back to
his side. "Where the elements are at our sway? What did you mean by
that?" He almost questioned the bad boy aesthetic comment, but
brushed it off.
Fox gets up. "What he means is that we all have a special gemstone
that we carry with us, and we can use it to harness the elements
and do some basic magic." He makes a small flame shoot from his
hand as a demenstration.
"Jeez how many times do I have to tell you to stop doing that
around me!" Marius yelped, moving to hide behind Alex and Eliza.
"Its not that hard to just stop shooting flames, is it?"
"Is it that easy, I'm sorry, but I don't remember signing a I will
not use my elements around Marius contract, unless I was hypnotized
and forced to sign it" Fox makes the flame disappear.
"I didnt make you sign a contract! I just asked you because I cant
handle being around fire, alright?!" Marius yelled, throwing his
hands up in the air.
"Oh! That's cool, Eliza and I have some too. I have
Invisibilty." Alex purred, and Eliza nodded. "Healing." The one
word she had spoken to these people was to tell them her element,
making her flush. Eliza flinched as Marius yelled, and Alex did as
well. "So, the old fire and water feud, ah?" Alex joked softly,
attempting to break the tension a little bit, eyes glancing between
Marius, Eliza, and Fox.
"I don't actually know what Marius does with his crystal, I just
know that if his power is water, I should be the one who is asking
him to not use his powers" Fox sits back down, and starts
meditating again because he doesn't feel like talking to anyone
except his crystal.
"I dont want a feud. I just, I cant handle being near fire, no
matter how small." Marius said, hugging himself around the
shoulders, resting his hands on the old burn scars that lay on his
shoulders, continuing under his shirt. "Invisibility and Healing
though, arent you two a pair." He said, ignoring Fox. He'd
accidentally used his crystal once already, he didnt want to again
until he knew the full effects.
Fox begins to hear the moaning again, and sees what look like
cheerful spirits, starting to turn grey and lose their
cheerfulness. He sees a spirit he thinks is the source for the
power in his crystal, that isn't moaning, and tries to talk to it.
He mentally askes it if it is the driving force for the ruby of
fire, but he gets no reply as he suddenly lurches out of his
meditative state.
Eliza laughed softly and nodded. "I suppose we are." She
said, and glanced at her brother as he mumbled under his breath.
"Freaking beautiful pair." He muttered, glancing to the two beside
him. Eliza was quiet for a moment, he face flushing before she
began to giggle softly. Alex snickered beside her, face becoming a
little pink too.
"Well of course, both of you, drop dead gorgeous. May my poor pan
heart rest in peace." Marius said, dramatically leaning back,
putting a hand on his heart and his other on his forehead, as
though he felt faint.
Both of the siblings blushed deeper, and Alex's snickers
turned into little giggles. Eliza kept laughing, shaking her head.
"Please, you're freaking stunning. Or I'm too gay." Alex giggled,
covering his mouth with his thin hand. Eliza was trying to calm
down, still laughing to herself.
"Could be both bad boy Alex." Marius joked. He did genuinely find
Alex's whole bad boy aesthetic pretty attractive if he was being
honest. But then again he thought, that was what got him into a
mess last time. Of course, maybe Alex is really just in it for the
aesthetic, not because hes actually a bad person. "Well, let's see
your powers in action!" Marius said, excited. "Or well, I guess
just Alex's, dont have anyone around for you to heal Eliza."
Fox just sits there. "Is your dramatic period over? Because in case
nobody told you, we have a job to do!" Fox says, before grabbing
his bag and preparing to walk off in a random direction.
