Dewott very clearly didn't trust the Houndour. He growled, still
hefting the shells.
Meanwhile, Mel had tripped over a rock and fallen. She pushed
herself back to her feet and moved a few more steps back. "Look,
its paw." She called from a safe distance away.
Victor took out a potion from his bag, and as he bent down to spray
the potion on Houndour, the Pokem9n growled agressively.
"This is for your own good, Houndour..." Victor said in his
sweetest, but shaking voice.
Houndour didn’t look as if he'd oblige, so Victor mustered all his
courage.
"Pro-Tip: Houndour knows..." The Pokedex began, but Victor didn’t
bother to listen this time, and sprayed the potion all over the
canine Pokemon without warning. The potion stung Houndour and the
dark type decided to spring and bite Victor's head.
"Wait! I can manage it alone without becoming bald!" Victor
shouted, as all Houndour had got hold off was Victor's hair,
nothing else and Dewott was doing nothing but increasing the
pain.
Volt gently nudged Dewott to come down using his long tail.
"That dosen’t scream loyality to me, attacking the person who
heals you." Blaze snorted.
"Volt, I guess I need help... use iron Tail and hand that tail
over." Victor groaned. Volt's Tail was glowing silver, and Victor
took it, and put it between Houndour's teeth, freeing his
unfortunate hair.
Now Volt tugged and brought down Houndour to the ground a
little too harshly.
"There isn’t much damage but I wanted to try a new hairstyle with
those red highlights..." Victor sighed.
Houndour stood up once more, and looked at the trainer. He went
over to Victor's heels and stood there as if challenging anyone to
come near.
Blaze looked at Houndour, and since he was possessive of Victor, te
Cyndaquil walked over and growled.
"I'm sure you'd still be able to pull it off." Mel told him
sympathetically. She wasn't a fan of having naturally white hair,
and planned on dying it a different color eventually.. If she could
ever bring herself too. As much as she disliked it, it was a part
of her. Oh well.
Tiger sighed, and shook his head. He placed a sitrus berry near the
Houndour, and spoke very softly. "Here. The berry will help regain
your strength." He said softly. Cyndaquil looked at the Houndour
cautiously on guard in case the pokemon was about to attack.
Houndour looked at Tiger and growled. Now the canine wasn’t letting
any other Pokémon or human come in 30 cm/1 foot radius of
Victor.
"Hey why are you standing there." Blaze questioned
agressively and used flame burst on Houndour, who absorbed it.
"My Ability is Flash Fire you mousy. And I like this trainer
now. I'll be his best Pokemon." Houndour said. Volt translated
this for Victor then spoke up.
"Starter privilidge. Now come aside." Volt said.
"You cannot be his Starter since you aren’t Cyndaquil, Chicorita
or Totodile. Hell, you aren’t even Bulbasaur, Charmander or
Squirtle. And I know for a fact that this mousy isn’t his
starter." Houndour growled.
Victor was at a loss on what to say, not wanting to either lose his
hair, or hit by thunder wave or flame burst.
Tiger sighed, and shook his head. Cyndaquil walked over to
Houndour, and showed no fear at all. "Well any Pokemon can be a
starter...Tiger had a Pichu before me" he said gently, and
looked at Tiger. The trainer had a partial guilty look in his gaze
as he watched Cyndaquil. "As for you, Tiger, and Victor is only
trying to help. Your paw looks hurt" he remarked kindly.
"Good luck getting Joy to heal that paw..." Tiger said simply, and
grabbed Cyndaquil. He then noticed the Mareep from the forest was
still watching them from a rock pile.
"I guess we’ve got a behaviour problem on our hands. The paw will
be well since I managed to use a potion on it, with the result of
losing some hair." Victor concluded, and Blaze and Volt looked
relieved.
