"Hm? Oh, a new challenger, I see!" Bugsy said, looking up from his new bug encyclopedia released in 2017. "I'm Bugsy. Did you know that..." Bugsy began ranting about Bug-Types and their many facts.

Tiger looked over to Bugsy, and decided against battling the gym yet. I'll head back to Violet tonight and battle Falkner. He thought simply to himself, and looked around.

"Yeah, let's go." FINALLY. Roy thought as he sent out his Butterfree.

"You're using Butterfree?" Bugsy asked, thinking about what to use. "OK, go Kakuna!"

Tiger blinked, and went to the bleachers to watch the battle. Cyndaquil went back outside as he noticed the Mareep from earlier.

Mel was unable to sit still for long enough to watch the battle, so she instead wandered back outside. It took a while, but she managed to find a river. She crouched down and dipped her hand into the water.

Dewott leapt into the water and splashed her playfully.

Tiger decided to go outside and see what Cyndaquil was doing. He looked around and yawned. Cyndaquil was talking to the Mareep from earlier.

The trainer was currently lying in the grass, staring at the sky.

Heart went to the gym to watch the battle as well. She had never seen a gym battle before, so she didn't know what to expect.

"Butterfree, confusion!" Roy called out, to which his Butterfree nodded and attacked, instantly knocking out the Kakuna.

"Kakuna, return! Go, Metapod!" Bugsy said, switching the two Pokemon.

Mel nearly leapt out of her skin when she heard Tiger. She sat up quickly and turned around. "Oh. Hey, Tiger." She replied cheerfully, flopping back onto the ground.

Dewott looked back at Tiger curiously. He swam back to the edge and hauled himself out with a small yawn.

"Nothing. Just getting some fresh air. I don't think I'd want to watch a battle" he said kindly. Cyndaquil, and Mareep then ran over to Tiger playfully.

"Me neither." Mel agreed. "I can't sit still long enough to watch the battle. Lay down, maybe." She shrugged and pushed herself back so she was sitting cross legged on the ground.

Dewott scrambled onto Mel's shoulder and clung to her.

Tiger looked from Dewott to Mareep. "Hello again" Tiger said kindly to the Mareep. The pokemon was looking at Dewott in confusion.

Mel pried Dewott off her shoulder and set him on the ground. "Hello." She greeted the Mareep with a wave.

Dewott huffed at her but approached the Mareep cautiously. He gave the electric type a small wave.
