"My hero." Mel said cheerfully, before looking at Lion. "It's not
like we came down here to help some injured Slowpoke or anything.
Why? Why are you down here?" She retorted casually.
"Go, Shine!" Victor said, sending out his last Pokemon. Is shine
at a level enoughbto defeat Miltank? The boy thought as he
commanded shine to levitate, making Miltank miss the Rollout she
was using and crash into the wall.
"Shine, extremespeed!" Victor commanded. Shine attacked Miltank
with the move, but got hit by Miltank's Rollout.
Tiger sighed, and knew what was coming next for Lion. "How does
that make sense? Tiger is just a wimp, and I can easily defeat him"
he boasted crossly.
Lion growled, and was about to go in and get Squirtle to attack
when Tiger, and Cyndaquil pushed the other trainer back. "Lion just
go" Tiger said lowly.
"Why should I?" Lion retorted angrily. "Obviously your friend needs
to be taught a lesson" he snapped.
"Oh great Mel is about to get them killed" Cyndaquil replied
softly.
Shine, Dragon Rush, then extreme speed once more!" Victor commanded
as he was worried about Shine's HP. Miltank hurt itself in
confusion and Shine executed his moves. Miltank becomes angry, and
then uses Rollout. Shine serenely flies away from the move, and
Miltank hits a wall, making it faint.
"Because Lion is responsible for a lot of things!" Lion snapped
crossly. "I know it was him because he somehow got Lugia's summons
item, Ho-Oh is owned by his brother, and he allowed Team Rocket to
kill my father" he snapped.
Tiger growled, and obviously annoyed now, he shoved Lion to the
ground. "None of that was my fault..." he said lowly. Cyndaquil was
now standing by Tiger he growled angrily.
“You win... I guess I should be used to trainers winning against
me..” Whitney said rather disappointed and gave Victor the gym
badge.
“Thank you, and you can still win if you train harder.” Victor
said, accepting the badge and exiting the gym. He felt weird saying
that to a gym leader after winning with an underlevelled team.
Victor healed his team and instructed Star to find the others. Star
began to circle above Lion, Tiger and Mel to signal to Victor their
location.
"Oh no, he owns the summon item that can be used to stop Ho-oh."
Mel gasped, touching her forehead dramatically. "Oh no, his brother
is evil! He's not the same person as his brother, sorry. Besides,
he's not the only one with a summon item. How interesting do you
think the distortion world will be?"
"No, don't banish him." Dewott patted her head. "Please
relax."
"Guess so" Tiger said with a shrug, and sighed. Truth was Lion's
attitude bothered him at times, and he wished the other boy would
stop blaming him for random things.
“By the way I got my Goldenrod city badge. And I see you’ve been
dealing with someone... less than half pleasant.” Victor said. Star
had told him about the last bits of the conversation through
Volt.
Victor sent out all his Pokémon. Blaze had puffed up his cheeks in
anger since he wasn’t used at the gym.
