Whitney commanded Wigglytuff to use play Rough, which it did, but Star dodged it expertly. Next, Wigglytuff was damaged in confusion.
Victor commanded Star to hit Wigglytuff with a series of peck attacks.

Roy, holding on to the sword, drove the sword through a nearby dirt wall, sending out his Pokemon. "Now! Sleeper Hold Combo!" Roy called out to his Pokemon. Butterfree used Sleep Powder, and Dratini used Wrap.

The Salamence growled, and threw Cyndaquil off him. The fire Pokemon flew in the way of sleep powder, and hit the wall nearby. "Cyndaquil!" Tiger said in shock. The pokemon was passed out, asleep. Salamence laughed in amusement and was hit by the wrap. He then stumbled back attempting to use crunch.

"Squirtle ice beam!" A voice said from the well's entrance. A Squirtle then sent off an ice beam hitting Salamence and freezing the Pokemon.

"Items to the rescue!" Roy claimed, swiftly drawing a Hyper Potion and an Awakening, which he used on the Cyndaquil.

"I froze him" the Squirtle from the shadows said crossly, and looked at Cyndaquil, who was coming to from the medicine. The Salamence tried to break out of the ice that encased him as he sat there.

Star was soon able to make Wigglytuff faint, but suffered a lot of damage since wigglytuff was attacking aggressively due to confusion.

Whitney sent out her last Pokémon. “Meet my trusty Miltank!” She declared. Victor felt that he’d get sick, since he heard a lot of horror stories about Whitney’s miltank in Kanto.
“Confusion!” Victor commanded.
“Attract!” Whitney said.
“It won’t affect Star since she’s female!” Victor said. Star stared at Miltank in a did-you-just-assume-my-gender expression and used confusion, which confused Miltank. The cow Pokémon used rollout, hitting Star directly and making her faint.

“I’m tired of all these female Pokémon with the challengers! Miltank, I’m replacing you with Tauros! You’re fired!” Whitney shouted in half desperation and half joking manner.

(“Star stared at Miltank in a did-you-just-assume-my-gender expression” lol)

Cyndaquil looked over to the Squirtle, and sighed. He then went to Salemence and blinked. "Salamence flamethrower" the trainer finally called a command. The pokemon broke out of the ice with the move.

Salemence was paralyzed. It struggled to continue fighting as the paralysis took place.

"They'll be okay." Mel sighed in relief.

"I hope so." Dewott agreed.

Both still didn't join in, preferring to that back. This was the other' side fight, not theirs.

Tiger looked over to the Salamence and blinked. Cyndaquil then ran at Salamence with a flamethrower. The pokemon was weakened from all the attacks, and it fainted.

Suddenly, a bright light surrounded Dratini. "Dratini! You're... evolving!" Roy proclaimed, as his Dratini grew into a Dragonair.

"Congrats" Tiger said kindly, and looked over to the Squirtle. "Alright Lion I know you're here. Come out" Tiger said suddenly. The trainer with the salamence fled the cave, and a boy with golden hair showed up in the well.
