After walking for a few minutes, Victor realised that he was being
followed by a bird Pokemon.
He stopped, and an owl Pokémon sat down on the trainer’s head.
“Hoothoot, the owl Pokémon.” The Pokedex said. This Hoothoot was
way bigger than the species’ listed height in the Dex.
“Well, who are you? I hope Ho-Oh hasn’t begun keeping hench-owls.”
Victor said, trying to get a glimpse of the Hoothoot. The Pokémon
got off his head and flew near him.
“Hoothoot Hoothoot Hoothoot (I’m your average wild Pokémon. And I
don’t know who Ho-oh is. I want a trainer who’ll accept me and that
Raichu of yours looks well trained, but I’d rather not be hurt like
that Cyndaquil)” The female Hoothoot said.
Volt translated for Victor like always, and the trainer debated
what to do.
"I say you catch him..." Tiger said kindly, and looked at his
Cyndaquil. "After all" he continued and looked at the Hoothoot "he
didn't injure his Cyndaquil...Victor is a nice trainer."
Victor looked at the Hoothoot. "Very well, welcome to the team!"
Victor said, and threw a Pokeball on Hoothoot. The Pokemon was soon
captured.
Victor and Volt did a high five on finding their first Johto
teammate. Shine didn’t count since his egg was obtained in Kanto,
but hatched in Johto.
Victor sent out the Hoothoot. "Let's call you.. Star?" Victor
asked, looking at the stars shining in the sky.
Hoothoot looked happy with her new name, and did a little dance in
the air, which gave a slightly comical effect due to her huge size.
"Congrats" Tiger said cheerfully, and continued onward. He saw the
end of the forest, and sighed in relief. "We're almost there" he
said reassuringly. He hoped that Ho-Oh hadn't shown up yet.
Tiger looked around, and sighed "You're worried about Ho-Oh
aren't you?" Cyndaquil asked his trainer quietly.
Tiger looked over to Cyndaquil and nodded before responding in
pokemon. He didn't want to freely talk about his Silver Wing when
the others could hear. "I'm just worried the others might get
scared when they find out I have the silver wing..."
Heart overhears Tiger talking to Cyndaquil in Pokemon, and was
confused, but also curious. She heard him mention the Silver wing.
She didn't know what a silver wing was exactly, but she had heard
people talk about it before.
"I'm sure it'll work out" Cyndaquil responded kindly, and
looked over to Tiger.
Tiger shrugged and sighed. "If they found out I can summon Lugia
they might leave...I don't blame them because I am a target for
Ho-Oh with this item" he said lowly.
"You just need to lay low. After this fight is over we can
possibly sneak off to keep them safe...or" Cyndaquil trailed
off when Tiger looked ahead in silence.
Tiger had the feeling of being watched. He glanced over to Heart,
"Uhh...is everything alright?" he asked cautiously. He was unaware
that Heart could have understood him that whole time.
Mel moved towards Roy. "You don't have to answer or anything, but
what was that?" She asked curiously, referring to the sword he'd
freaked out over. "I won't judge you or tell anyone anything. We've
all got secrets."
Tiger looked unconvinced. He then decided to test his theory out,
and spoke in partial pokemon "Are you sure?" he asked hoping
she wouldn't pick up on his trick.
Tiger glanced over, and slowed down so he could go to the back of
the group, and no one else could hear them. "You can speak pokemon?
Or is it something else? You don't have to tell me...after all I'm
not Snow, and I'm not going to force it from you..." he said
gently.
