Kat blinked and noticed Andromeda's unease "we could always follow
them as they go. Afterwards we can leave town, and go back into the
forest. The next area will be more like spring time" he said
softly.
"Halloween is a great reason." Lucia pouted momentarily before she
looked down at her hands again. "Wait no, I wasn't joking, in
turning blue." She laughed, breathing on her hands. "But don't
worry. We'll be okay. You guys can kick back and relax for a few
hours!"
Andromeda started to bristle, but calmed herself. "I'll wait
outside of the town, then. If you guys aren't back out here by
tomorrow morning, I'll terrorize the town to come find you, "
Andromeda smirked. "Tell me all about it when you get back," she
said to Yukio.
Andromeda transformed back into her wolf form as she watched the
others leave. She felt slightly better in her wolf skin, but had a
gnawing sense inside her that she should have gone with them.
Why can't I just be content? This worrying is exhausting...,
she thought to herself, padding back into the tree line near the
village.
Andromeda watched Kanti dash off, pushing away a nagging feeling of
regret. I'll see them again...right?, she thought to
herself. She hadn't been truly alone since she met her new friends,
and she didn't miss the feeling. Andromeda slowly padded through
the snow, eyeing the buildings of the town from the trees.
Andromeda prowled through the woods, her negative thoughts
consuming her mind. She let the wolf part of her take over, sort of
going into autopilot. She caught the scent of prey further into the
woods - deer. She followed the scent, silently moving through the
trees.
