Andromeda gave one of her wolffish smiles to Lucia, " What do
you say, then? We'll see who tires out first, " she said, her
paws itching for a good run.
Andromeda kicked up snow as she darted forward at a racing pace.
Her larger size allowed her to quickly catch up to Lucia, but she
held back slightly, content to run at this pace. They left the
others behind as the snowy trees rushed by them.
Andromeda laughed, "I'd like to test that notion," she said,
and she rushed forward, her tongue hanging out of her mouth as she
happily panted. She had heard once that her people could run for
miles on end without tiring, following herds of prey. Wonder if
I'll experience that outside of my dreams, she thought.
Lucia let out a 'whoop', chasing after Andromeda. She'd heard
different stories about people being able to run great distances
without a break, and now she was curious about it. Though she
doubted she had the stamina to do it, she still wanted to try at
some point.
Andromeda couldn't help but bark as she ran, in her element. She
smelled something acrid up ahead and she narrowed her eyes to get a
better look. "I think I can smell smoke. That usually means
humans, right? Perhaps the town is approaching," she called
back to Lucia.
Andromeda slowed her pace until she stopped, a ways ahead of Lucia.
She looked ahead, just making out the smoke from chimneys, rising
above the trees. "Hmm. I guess our race is over...for
now,"Andromeda said, giving a small smile to Lucia. "We
should return to the others,"she said, bounding off into the
snow, back the way they came.
Andromeda slowed her approach as she returned to the others. “
We ran just over a mile or so, and I spotted smoke from the next
town.”, Andromeda said to Kat.
Andromeda turned tail and walked in front of the others, seeing
Lucia waiting happily up ahead. "Is this the town where
Halloween happens?," She asked the others, curious to see such
a holiday.
Lucia seemed to become even happier when Andromeda brought up
Halloween. She leapt to her paws. "Halloween can happen
anywhere!" She exclaimed happily. "But yeah, I think
so."
"Well, they didn't celebrate Halloween where I lived. Not much
festivities when you live under a bridge," Andromeda chuckled
at her own expense. "I'm curious to see a little
liveliness," she said, looking ahead to see the smoke rising
above the trees.
