"Yes" Kat said quietly. He was concerned for what he might
find inside the exhibit. He then broke the vent in front of him,
and ended up inside the tiger's exhibit.
"Andromeda nudged Yukio out of the vent in front of her, and she
dropped down to the exhibit floor. She looked around, uneasy. "
This is worse than the cage...", she said, creeping into the
foliage.
"We stay away from the windows, and go to the next vent...it's
just ahead" Kat said lowly, and ignored Kanti's question. He
then ran forward as quickly as he could.
"I think I prefer the scruff hold by that rude human" Yukio
said dryly, and noticed Kat's unease.
Kanti groaned and dropped down as well, following quickly. The
habitat made her uneasy, but it was more due to the fact that her
survival instincts were practically screaming not to go
anywhere near more than one tiger. In fact, even one was pushing
it, but Kat had proven to be nice.
Andromeda did her best to stay low, following Kat through the
exhibit. The area smelled like rotting meat and staleness, causing
her to wrinkle her nose. " Do you know anyone in here...?",
Andromeda whispered to Kat in front of her.
"My mother" Kat admitted quietly, and continued onward. His
pelt was prickling as he was in the exhibit. He didn't need to hide
like the others, but he felt safer that way.
"It didn't really come up" Kat replied crossly, and snarled
to himself. "I spent my whole life thinking she was dead!"
he explained, and continued along the exhibit in a quicker speed.
Kat looked at his paws, and drew his ears back. "She doesn't
want to come...she said it's safer for her to stay here, and I
can't let her get caught." He whispered, and stopped at the
next vent.
Andromeda bit back a response, and followed silently behind Kat.
I would rather die than live here to be gawked at by humans for
the rest of my life, she thought to herself.
Andromeda lifted Yukio into the vent, and clawed her way behind
him. "I wish they handed out maps of their ventilation system at
the information desk...", Andromeda muttered as she squished
through the vent.
