(No, I'M lucky!
Also I'd like to point out that Mel is the reverse Mira, knowing
very little about their mother/father xD)
(ALSO ALSO I can't believe MIRA hasn't been shipped with anyone
yet-)
The wind continued to pick up until they were going really
fast. Mira realized with dread what was happening, and returned all
of her pokemon before they realized too. She knew she would get
yelled at by Toka for returning her without explanation, but it was
for a good reason.
The grey clouds that rolled in minutes later confirmed Mira's
theory. Little pitter-patters of raindrops fell down. "Oh great,"
Mira grumbled, pulling the sail tighter.
Tiger sighed and looked at the ground for a moment as Ivan's
question bothered him. "My mom is in Johto my dad is in jail" he
said lowly, and continued onward.
The waves grew higher, tossing and turning the little boat. Mira
didn't hesitate in her movements; only once had she been in a
situation like this, but she remembered exactly what to do.
She finally tied the sail again and kept the boat from tipping by
shifting her weight accordingly. Thunder boomed above and the rain
became heavier, but Mira kept going on.
Eventually, the sky became black with clouds and she became soaked,
from head to toe. Still, with everything slippery, she kept up; by
now, she was wishing that she had a fighting type to help her out
with weight management.
"Of course" Tiger said dryly, and continued onwards. He saw the
restaurant in the distance. "I always had to take care of
myself..." He sighed and shook his head. "It's what I'm good at."
(quick somebody start counting every time Mel says anything to
tiger and file it under "proof of meliger")
Mel frowned and looked at Tiger. "How long have you been taking
care of yourself?" She asked in surprise. Sure, she spent her
entire childhood wondering when her mom was coming home, but she
hated that other people had to take care of themselves too,
especially people she knew. It stung.
"I'm feeling bored..." Victor said. Sirius and Volt were now
playing the usual cat-and-mouse games. Victor tried not to notice
that Sirius looked bigger than usual.
"Since I was five..." Tiger said simply, and looked ahead. "I mean
you know what happened then, so why should I have stopped caring
for myself" he shrugged, and glanced over to Victor.
Mel looked at him in surprise. That was older than her at the very
least, but that still hurt to think about. "I'm sorry." She said
quietly. "That must have sucked." She looked over and spotted the
restaurant in the distance.
Tiger shrugged simply, "it's fine. Not a huge deal" he said kindly.
He then walked to the restaurant, and looked at Cyndaquil. "I
meanmimhad Cyndaquil with me"
"That's always a good thing." Mel agreed, looking happier at that.
She'd had Lucario and Samurott with her as a child, so at least she
hadn't been alone. "So what's here?" She asked as they approached
the restaurant.
"Where did this storm even come from?!" Mira growled to
herself, wincing at the rain slapping her face. The waves became
higher, but she managed. Eventually, a small island came into view
and she turned onto it so fast she wondered how the boat didn't
turn over at the sharp angle.
She pulled onto shore and, soaked, pulled it up with her. It was
clearly tiny, with trees and a few rocks. I must have gotten
thrown off-course. Mira realized bitterly, taking cover under a
tree. The waves became monstrous; she had gotten here just in time.
"I think Blaze deserves a treat." Victor said, and sent out Blaze.
He then began to look for some suitable food shop for Blaze.
The Typhlosion's eyes glinted red as he looked at a Masalda shop.
He curled in a ball and rushed towards the shop.
"I thought you forgot Rollout ages ago...STOP!" Victor shouted, and
recalled the Typhlosion just before the shop was destroyed by
Blaze's Rush.
"I didn’t know you had a taste for malasadas. I don’t remember
giving them to you..." Victor said, sending out Blaze again, who
stood near the shop.
"Dosen't mean that Kukui is unkind. I was staying with him,
remember? I got some from his fridge." Blaze said with a slight
blush as Victor paid for some Malasadas.
"DON'T. TELL. ME. YOU. DID. THAT. WITHOUT. PERMISSION." Victor
paused with the packet of Malasadas in his hand, all sorts of
possibilities occurring to him.
Mira looked around. I wonder if there are any pokemon around
here... She thought, holding her belt of pokeballs close to her
chest. She stalked forward, dragging the boat close behind her,
until finding a cave. She raced towards it and dove inside,
sighing. In the bottom of the boat there was her bag, sheltered
from the rain, and she fumbled with her pokedex, trying to figure
out exactly where she was.
Tiger walked into the restaurant and sat down. He glanced at his
pokegear in an attempt to find any information on the ultra beasts.
Cyndaquil sat down and looked around.
