Frisk lowered her head. Toriel's eyes were narrowed. "Every human that falls down here meets the same fate. I have seen it happen again and again. They come. They leave. They die. You naive children. If you leave the RUINS... They... ASGORE... Will kill you. I am only protecting you, do you understand? ...Go to your room." Toriel said, speeding out of sight again.

"Do not try to stop me. This is your final warning." Toriel said, walking ahead through the hallway.

Frisk gave a small sniffle, but said nothing more. Just stay determined, and it'll all blow over. She thought.

"You want to leave so badly? Hmph. You are just like the others. There is only one solution to this. Prove yourself." Toriel's eyes met Frisk's, and Frisk's alone. "Prove to me that you are strong enough to survive." Toriel finished. The world around Frisk and Toriel darkened, and soon Frisk's SOUL glowed red. But she was surprised to see that Halcyon and Mary's SOULS were not.

Frisk was very confused.

Before Frisk could even react to what Halcyon said, a red, clear substance shot out from her SOUL and made a dome around Halcyon. Frisk shook it off as just a trick of the light or something, and pressed ACT, and then talk.

*You couldn't think of any conversation topics.

Toriel began to shoot fireballs at Frisk. Frisk narrowly dodged all of them.

The bullet almost shattered the dome, but was held back.

Frisk narrowed her eyes in concentration. She pressed the SPARE button. "...." More fireballs came in, but Frisk dodged them all except for one. It only hurt a bit. She pressed the SPARE button again and again, dodging fireballs, until Toriel yelled "Attack or run away!" Frisk was ready to dodge, but the fireballs just deliberately missed her now.

Frisk's SOUL made barriers to hold back the bullets. She was determined to SAVE Toriel, by any means possible.

Frisk pressed the SPARE button again. "What are you proving this way?" Toriel said. The fireballs continued to miss Frisk. She pressed SPARE again. "Fight me or leave!" Toriel yelled. The fireballs still missed. She SPARED again. "Stop it." Toriel said. Fireballs missed again. Frisk SPARED again. "Go away!" Toriel yelled. The fireballs continued to miss.

Halcyon laughed "Why.... why are you doing this Frisk...?" Halcyon glared at Frisk "You IDIOT!" Halcyon changed targets to Frisk, "I'm doing this for mankind's own good." Halcyon reloaded the gun with more pebbles and continued firing, this time at Frisk.

Frisk SPARED Toriel again. "..." Toriel said nothing. The fireballs missed. Frisk SPARED her again. "... ..." Toriel continued to say nothing, the fireballs still missing. Frisk SPARED her again. "I know you want to go home, but..." Toriel began. No fireballs came.
