Frisk continued to SPARE Toriel. "But please... go upstairs now." Toriel said. Frisk SPARED her again. Toriel smiled. "I promise I will take good care of you here." Toriel said. Frisk SPARED her again. "I know we do not have much, but. . ." Toriel said. Frisk SPARED her again. "We can have a good life here." Toriel said. Frisk SPARED her again. "Why are you making this so difficult?" Toriel asked. Frisk SPARED her again. "Please, go upstairs." Toriel said. Frisk SPARED her again. Toriel said nothing. Frisk SPARED her again. "Ha ha..." Toriel said. Frisk SPARED her again. "Pathetic, is it not? I cannot save even a single child." Toriel said.

Frisk SPARED Toriel again. Toriel said nothing. Frisk SPARED her again. "No, I understand. You three would just be unhappy trapped down here. The RUINS are very small once you get used to them. It would not be right for you to grow up in a place like this. My expectations... My loneliness... My fear... For you, my children... I will put them aside." Toriel said. The battle faded away. "If you truly wish to leave the RUINS, I will not stop you. However, when you leave... Please do not come back. I hope you understand." Toriel finished. Toriel gave Frisk a hug. Frisk hugged back, and tears fell down her cheeks.

Halcyon looks confused and angered... she knew you were shooting at her AND Frisk, right? Why is she not acknowledging this? Halcyon got up as he contemplated this. He looked at Toriel and Frisk hugging and anger grew on Halcyon's face. This isn't over old lady... Halcyon put his gun back into it's holster... for now.

Toriel withdrew from the hug. "Goodbye, my child." She said, going back to the hallway. She stood in the middle, watching them, then left. Frisk went through the door.

Halcyon watched Frisk leave, and then proceeded to follow Toriel. I will not be defeated by that child! Halcyon thought as his pursuit for Toriel continued.

Toriel was standing where Frisk fell down, at the patch of yellow flowers. In the start of the RUINS. How did she get here so fast? You would never know.

Frisk didn't hear the other two come into the door, and so she decided to go out and wait for them. She just saw a glimpse of Halcyon as he went around the corner. "Why do you want to kill her so badly? Would you do that to her if she was human?" She yelled desperately.

Frisk raised an eyebrow, confused. "Really? That's all you wanted to do?" She asked. She was trusting, but she still knew enough not to let him get away with trying to kill Toriel.

Halcyon nodded. "A-alright..." Halcyon said with a slight smile , however Damn, this may be harder with the kid around, but if I said no, I'd seem more suspicious than I already am. Guess I'll just have to plan around this Halcyon thought, keeping his composure as they walked to the beginning of the RUINS

Frisk continued to walk along. She really hoped that they would get to the beginning soon. As she walked along, she started to have questions. "Hey, your SOUL has a meaning, right? Just like mine and the other girl's?" She asked.

"I didn't really know much about it at the start. About halfway through the RUINS I wanted to give up and just go home. Yes, I do want to go home, like all of you. Surprising, huh. But I couldn't, because I was stuck here. But then, my SOUL glowed. It filled me with a trait that I'd never felt before: Determination. And that's how I made it through the RUINS, and I think I know what this SOUL thing is about. When you get into a battle, if things hit your SOUL, you start losing health, I think. It's not that easy to explain." Frisk said carefully.
