"Thanks." Aiden said. "A lot. We owe you big time." He yawned again. "I'm gonna call Cam and see what progress they've made." He said, pulling out his phone. It rang twice before Cam picked up.

"If you ask me if we've made any progress I will stab you." Cam warned tiredly. "And if it's about the shield, relax. Lucia convinced me that putting it up was a bad idea at the moment. But if the darkness gets too much worse, I'm putting up the shield and- What? Yes, I'm done with that book. Sorry, gotta blast. Talk to you later, bro." Cam hung up and his phone beeped. Aiden snorted and put his own phone away, sitting down and dozing off.

Ali remained unconscious.

"you know." Bryan said. "The world ended and you still keep the secrecy. And if you keep me and my friend here then all of us will be dead. You're making a mistake by doing this."

Annabelle looked at Aiden. "Quite a sister you have there." She said. She always like that?"

Susan kept the ship on the air. Nothing so far, which was good. She checked your coordinates. Only an hour to go

Aiden sighed and shook his head. "Unfortunately." He replied. "Sometimes I wish she wasn't, though. But I'm just glad she and the others are okay." He said, placing his hands in his lap and looking at them. "Do you have any siblings?" He asked her, attempting to make conversation.

Ali groaned, attempting to bring her hand up to rub her head and failing due to the chains. "What the-" She opened her eyes and nearly screeched. Instead, she let out an odd sounding yelp. "When..? Oohhh.. Right. Shoot." She could feel something around her neck and shivered. Creepy.

Annabelle shook her head. "Nope. I'm an only child." She played her guitar, settling on playing a song by Linkin Park.

"And how would the world end?" The woman asked.
"You must be a special kind of stupid." Bryan said. "You don't see the shadows? The darkness that hangs over the world?"
"I see that." The woman said. "And I have a solution to fix that."
"And what is that?" He leaned over the table as best as he could.
"It's simple really." The woman said. "I have been granted access to all the nuclear missiles that the U.S. has to offer."
"You wouldn't!" Bryan raised his voice. "There could be people there."
"In Antarctica? I don't think so." The woman said.
Antarctica? Bryan didn't show his expression. "You're the real monster here."
"Think of it anyway you want." The woman said. "You Elementists have went unchecked with your powers. The Great Pyramid of Giza? Nothing more than a pile of rubble. The Easter Island Heads, debris. No matter how much you say that I am the monster for destroying an entire continent that inhabits not a lot of humans, when you and your friends were found in countless battles that left entire cities destroyed"

Aiden nodded and leaned back into his seat, closing his eyes.

"So you plan to kill everyone because we destroyed some important places?" Ali asked crossly. "If you use those nuclear weapons on any continent, you risk absolutely destroying this world. And maybe if you'd done some research you'd realize we were trying to protect the world. Besides, Bryan and I had no part in any of those battles. You've got the wrong people."

"the problem isn't that you destroyed some important places." The woman said. "But that the threat that you so called Elementists pose. Once we get rid of that one at Antarctica and all these monsters and aliens, the Elementists will fall too."
"You're insane lady!" Bryan yelled. "If you do that, you might as well kill the entire planet. If you let us go, we can stop this."
The woman shook her head. "Not a chance."
Bryan closed his eyes. "Then you leave me no choice." He has limited experience with his new element, and he knows that if he uses it, he will be shocked, but he needs to do it.
He didn't know what to expect. Just thought, element do something. Suddenly, his whole body was being shocked, volts of electricity running through his body. It only took a few seconds when there was an explosion. It blasted him out of the chair and into a wall. When he got back up, he found the collar was broke. He took it off.
Bryan looked around to see the monsters and shadows everywhere. Fighting each other. Fighting the soldiers.
He picked up Ali, and yelled, "We gotta go now!"

"Jeez, dude!" Ali yelled, kicking around aggressively. "How do you plan on getting out of here?!" She added loudly. "It's Chaos, did you summon the Chaos element or something?! And how did you even get that collar off??" She scowled, pulling at her own. "Where are we going anyway?"

"I don't think my element worked. Whereas whatever is happening. Remember how we tripped that alarm? I think it brought more attention than wanted!" Bryan answered.
They ran past monsters and shadows, when he stopped.
"This is our chance." He said. "Our chance to prove to them that we can help save the world. He charged back into the compound before Ali could say anything."

It has been a few hours, and they finally made it to the Big Ben clock tower. "It looks so beautiful." Annabelle said.
Susan smiled. "You humans and your connection to something that isn't real."
Annabelle looked at her, confused.
"You hold onto time as if it's your life. It's been proven over and over that it was just to be made to make people's life go around it

"Wait a minute! Bryan!" Ali shouted, lashing out. She pulled her knife out of her bag and cut the collar off, wincing at the feebler electricity it gave off. "Do you have a death wish?!" She screamed, tearing after him.

Aiden shrugged. "Time is what we use to tell when we go to sleep. I guess it's something we created to tell us when to do things." He said, and smiled. "But it is pretty."

Bryan ignored her and ran and grabbed a sword from one of the dead monsters and started hacking away at both monsters and shadows. He used his wormhole thing and moved closer to the soldiers who were frantically defending themselves

"Bryan! Bryan!" Ali yelled, dashing after him only to be stopped by a group of monsters and shadows. She swore, pulling a sword out of a dead monsters stomach. "If this is how I die I'm writing a complaint!" She shouted, swinging the sword, keeping several of the monsters back.

Bryan summoned a black hole and seve monsters and shadows disappeared in an instant. He looked around, not much human casualties. The woman who imprisoned them stepped forward.
"You..." She said. "You saved us? After what we did."
"I want to propose a deal to you." Bryan said.
"What is it?" The woman asked.
"You leave all the elements and bad Elementists to us good guys. Whereas you and your soldiers help everyone by taking out any monsters and shadows you see. And to not use those nuclear missiles."
The woman hesitated. "I'm giving you and your friends a chance." She said. "Mess it up, and you know what will happen."
Bryan nodded.

They all climbed the tower, Susan then told Aiden, "fore warning," she said. "I've heard stories about this guy. He likes to send his quote, 'victims' through time, especially in known battles where there were a lot of casualties. Once he sees you, he will probably take you back in time."

Aiden grinned awkwardly. "Well is my dead body shows up during the civil war or something, do tell the others how I died." He joked weakly, before turning around and heading inside.

As he entered, he became aware of the entire room being covered in clocks. He felt that was a bit excessive, even for an elemental master of time. A man watched silently from the shadows, eyes narrowed.

Aiden looked around quietly. The man stepped out and Aiden whipped around, bristling defensively. He relaxed for a moment, enough to have a slightly civil conversation with the man before the man threw his hands up and they both vanished from the clock tower.

....

Ali waited in the entrance for Bryan to finish his deals, pulling the sword out of a monster.

Susan waited with Annabelle at the foot of the tower.
"When Aiden gets this element, there will be one left." Annabelle said.
"If he gets it." Susan said.
"Give him more credit than that." Annabelle said. "He's done this for quite a while now."
"No matter what, remember this." Susan replied. ",There will always be someone better than you "
"Even than Jake?" Annabelle asked. She heard rumours about his powers. Seen the after effects that resonates so many months later.
Susan nodded. "Even when he reaches the peek of his powers, there will always be someone more powerful than too. The number of people more powerful than him will certainly be less than people against me, or you."

Bryan walked over to Ali. He recounted everything about the deal to her. Then he said, "Now Antarctica. I hope you packed some Eskimo clothes. If not, then we need to hit up one of the abandoned stores for some heavy winter clothing. I'll be going there either way, I don't want frost bite"

"No, sorry, I don't wear Eskimo clothing underneath my normal clothes." Ali responded, voice dripping with excitement. "So do we just plan on wandering Antarctica until we find something? Please tell me you have a plan."

....

You've got to be kidding me. Aiden groaned, dodging another blast from the man. He'd been joking about the whole "dead body in the civil war" thing, but the man clearly hadn't gotten the memo, because guess where they were now?

Aiden held up his hands, creating a massive rock wall that seperated him and the man. He leaned around the corner and blasted a few spikes of chaos at the man, but they were dodged with ease. Aiden was sure this could go on for years, they seemed almost evenly matched. Aiden did his best to keep the wall up, but it eventually crumbled under the weight of time.

Aiden constantly flung spikes of chaos at the man, and the man retaliated with the power of time; mostly forward movement and backward movement. If he wanted this element, he would have to be crafty. He pulled the guns out of their holsters and fired randomly around where the man was. The man dodged all but one, and that one hit him in the stomach. The man crumpled and Aiden winced, moving forward and standing above the man. "Sorry. But we've got a world to save." He said and attempted to blast the man, but he dodged, speeding up time to a blur and kicking Aiden away.

Aiden stumbled to the ground and raised his arms in surrender. The man began to laugh, guard dropping, and- crack.

The man fell to the ground, dead. Aiden pulled his knife out of the man and scowled. "Sorry." He said flatly. The scene dissipated and they were back in the tower, but the man was gone, and a floating sphere remained. Aiden reached out and grabbed it, feeling reenergized, and walked out, only feeling partially bad for the man.

Bryan nodded. "Then we hit a clothes store and get underway."
He made another portal and stepped through it. He took a look around to make sure it wasn't another secret place that could lead to death. Nope, just clothes here and there. Seemed safe. He gestured towards her to come.
"So the real question is this." Bryan said. "We have the location of this Jake guy. We have our fair share of Elements. But how do we contact these other Elementists that are supposed to help us get him back? I'm sure they don't know where he is."

Annabelle seen Aiden suddenly appear. "So I'm taking a guess that you now have the Element?"

Susan found herself in one of the most scientific centers this world has to offer. Why does it have to be a science center? A sign was nearby that said CERN. Of course Matter would be at CERN, where the people actually try and look at every part of an atom.

Ali smiled at him as she entered. "Thanks." She looked around thoughtfully. "You're probably right, I doubt they know where they are. And I sorta.. Left my phone back at the gas station, so we can't call them. Unless you have one, or there's one nearby.. But I don't remember anyone's phone numbers. Uh.." She fell silent.

"Oh yeah." Aiden grinned faintly. "Time is not something I'd want to fight again, though." He stretched. "Where'd Susan go? Do you know?" He asked.

Annabelle shrugged. "She said she had an idea of where Matter is, but didn't say anything else." She tried to think of any probable places but couldn't. "Any ideas?"

Susan walked through the carnage of the science center. That's when she found it. A thing full of energy, constantly changing shapes and colors. It seemed like any normal retrieve element routine. Except for one thing. There were random items strewn around everywhere. From books to car engines. Refrigerators to toilets, all in a mess around the element.
If Susan had to guess, everyone at CERN got a little bit too close to the element and was turned into some random thing. After all, if humans had one theory, matter is neither created nor destroyed. Only changed. She just hoped she doesn't get turned into a toilet.
She stepped forward close to it, and heard a big loud thud behind her. She sighed and turned around. It was a Zorgron. Bigger than the usual kind.
"So, an Ancient going to get an element?" It growled. "I can't have any of my enemies have that now can I?"
"Are you serious?" Susan said. "I don't have time for this."

Bryan held Ali's ha d as she stepped through and he looked around for some heavy winter clothes

Aiden shook his head. Part of him suggested trying to track her using his phone, but he highly doubted he'd be able to find her. "Probably somewhere science-y. I would say NASA but I highly doubt it." Wait. He needed to think a bit. Probably somewhere explosive, if he were to guess. Probably some kind of nuclear place. "Maybe a nuclear kind of place?" He suggested nervously.

....

Ali smiled, looking down at their hands. Bryan really was a nice guy. She shook herself mentally and looked at the clothing. It seemed to be getting heavier and warmer looking the further they walked. The warmest stuff was probably in the back of the store. She continued to observe.

Bryan found some good ones that were bound to give someone heatstroke in negative a million weather. He put it on and told Ali about the clothes.

Annabelle grimaced. "Why would she go to a nuclear kind of place?"

Susan didn't like her odds. All she had were a few magical items to get her out of tough situations. Not to fight. One of the reasons why she hated having yellow eyes. She has absolutely no powers. So she had to improvise. She grabbed a crowbar and smacked the monster upside the head with it. She can just imagine the poor person who is now a crowbar. "Ow, stop that! Ow, Stop that!"
The monster took the crowbar away from her and broke it in half.
Susan cursed to herself. If her theory is right, then she needs to be more careful. She pulled out a little ball and threw it at the monster, it transformed into a frying pan and knocked it close to the element. That's when she had an idea. She then got out a small little canteen. She drank the liquid and felt her whole body energized. At least she knew how to fight. She hit the monster, not letting it touch her. Little by little. Bit by bit. She pushed it closer to the element. She did a final spinning back kick and the monster got a little too close to the element. Soon, a bottle of bleach fell to the floor.
She then walked over to the element, hoping for not the same date, to find it go into her. She decided to try and bring everyone back to normal, except for the monster.
Surprisingly, it worked. She looked at the broken crowbar and thankfully it didn't turn. She asked around to see if anyone was missing. Nobody was.
