The Elementist (open RP)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → The Elementist (open RP)Aiden shrugged. "Just an idea." He touched his forehead. "Maybe we could try and trace her energy using mh phone..?" He suggested and then cursed himself. "Never mind, I don't think my phone could handle that." He glanced over at Annabelle. "Any ideas?"
Annabelle looked up. "Was there any trouble?"
Susan shrugged. "A little bit. Nothing I couldn't handle."
Bryan made a portal and, without looking, stepped through and walked into someone. "Dang it." He said. "What's with me and walking into people?" He looked up and seen two people and a flying ship. He didn't know if they were friendly. "On second thought, the shop seemed like an excellent place." He stepped back through
Ali sighed, shaking her head playfully. "Nice job." She said. "Where did that portal even go too?" She asked, watching as he stepped back into the shop.
"What just happened?" Annabelle asked once the mysterious kid left through the portal.
"I think that was the Space Elementist.' Susan answered
Annabelle was suddenly hurrying to the portal before it could close. She jumped through it and said, "Come on! We gotta save the world!"
Bryan yelped in surprise, "what the?"
"wHat?? Annabelle?!" Aiden leapt through the portal as well, nearly falling flat on his face in the process. "Jumping through random portals isn't the best idea-" he spotted Ali. "Aren't you the girl at the gas station?"
Ali gawked at him. "Aren't you the guy on the phone?"
They both fell silent for a moment before bursting in laughter again.
Bryan looked at the other group. "So are they friendly?" He asked Ali.
"Are we friendly?" Annabelle repeated. "I don't know. We might just skin you alive."
Ali shrugged blankly, looking at the newcomers. "I dunno. Lucia talks about them a lot." She glanced at Bryan. "They clearly skin people alive." She added.
Aiden grinned. "We eat people, shadows, and monsters all at once. Bones and all." He said jokingly.
Susan looked at everyone. "Please tell me you all are joking."
Annabelle looked at the two new Elementists. "So do you have any idea where Jake is?"
"Antarctica." Bryan said. "That's why we are raiding a clothes shop of its heavy winter clothes."
"Then let us get some clothes so we don't freeze our butys off." Annabelle said.
Meanwhile...Jake could feel them coming. He didn't know who, but could clearly tell they were Elementists. He smiled. "This will be fun."
"Then let's do this." Susan said, walking through first.
"What hey!" Bryan yelled. "What if this is the North Pole!"
Annabelle walked through and said, "fifty fifty shot that this is Antarctica."
Aiden groaned, feeling his pockets. He'd bundled up his phone too, but he highly doubted his phone would survive the probably-below-zero-temperatures of wherever they currently were. Part of him wished he could call the gas station just to check on the others, and tell them they'd (sorta) found Jake, but at the same time, he didn't want to get their hopes up, so he refrained from pulling out his phone and instead took a few steps forward.
Susan shuddered. "This is definitely the place. I feel darkness more powerful here than anywhere else."
Bryan looked around. He seen an army of shadows assembling. "There's got to be millions of them!" He exclaimed.
Annabelle brought out her guitar. She never thought of using it as a weapon, but now that she is the Elementist of Sound, she has an idea.
....
Ali flinched. Susan was right, the darkness was disgustingly strong here, almost suffocating. "How much further, do you think?" She asked, taking another few steps. She ignored the shadows as best she could, using her power to try and probe their minds, but it didn't work. "Bleh." She muttered, stepping back.
Aiden looked around. "Probably almost there. Look at all of them." He gestured towards all the shadows, as if to prove his point.
Annabelle yelled, "everyone close your ears if you know what's good for you!" She played her guitar and used her powers to amplify the sounds to where the ice beneath them started to break. The shadows themselves started popping, turning into black smoke and ashes.
But more filled their place.
Susan threw an object up in the air and it turned into a flying ship, she got in it and started shooting the shadows down.
Bryan made black holes appear and swallow shadows whole before disappearing in a few seconds.
But with all their work, it seemed as if they weren't making a dent.
Aiden used his Earth powers to create a giant crack in the ground, which sent a good amount of shadows tumbling down. He resealed the gap, creating more rocks to fling around them and hit different shadows away from them.
"So." He said. "Who wants to die first." By this time, one of his eyes was black as night, whereas the other eye is white as snow. Dark mist swirled around him.
Bryan looked at Jake. "You don't have to do this man."
Jake laughed. "Oh but I do! If I prove to myself that I can wipe out an entire planet, then I can surely take out someone that claims that they are immortal."
Susan jumped down from her ship. "That will make you no better than the One!"
Ali stepped forward. "Self sacrificing jerk." She muttered. "You're almost as bad as your sister." She growled, tugging him back. Aiden wrenched his arm free and moved forward again. Ali stared after him. "He's serious?" She whispered.
Bryan had no idea what to say, but he knew he couldn't let this happen.
Susan brought out a staff. She decided to do a last minute magic item crafting when they were at the clothes shop. Good thing she did too.
Jake laughed. "What about them? They are no better than me, as most of you all are as well. Killing other Elementists to do what needs to be done. The way I see it, I'll be doing the universe a favor. By eliminating both the One and Elementists."
Bryan couldn't take it anymore. He sent a meteor down from space and it crashed where Jake was standing.
Susan looked at him, "I think that was overkill."
Bryan shook his head. "Not with him threatening to kill us all."
The meteor turned to black dust, then exploded. Jake stood, or floated, where there is now no ice. "That was a little bit underkill if you ask me." He formed a sword out of pure darkness.
