Finally alone, he turned to his pursuer. "Not really smart for tailing me. Could kill you right now, but I want to know who wants me dead."
The man didn't look like anyone special. Probably just a farmer. "I need help."
"I don't do charity work. And my work gets bloody." Xyry said.
The farmer searched through his pockets and came up with a small bag. He handed it to Xyry. "That's all I have."
Xyry opened it up to find some gold. And not just that, some of these gold coins were rare. He could get a lot from this small bag. "What's the job?"
"There's a pack of demons, goblins to be exact. They have been snooping around my farm. I feel like tonight they might attack." The farmer answered.
Xyry brought out his sword. "Consider the job done."

Later that night... Xyry was standing in the crop field, looking this way and that for any goblins. That's when he heard it. A hundred small footsteps scurrying around.
He instantly ran forward and slammed the nearest goblin. He then brought out his crossbow and shot another. Xyry dropped down and swept the legs out from underneath a third one, slicing up with his sword. He kept wiping them out one at a time, but one goblin was lucky and cut him. It didn't get that victory long enough. It found a crossbow bolt in its head as it fell down.
In about ten minutes, Xyry finished the rest of the goblins.
The farmer ran out to thank him.
He grabbed the farmer up by the scruff of his neck. "Next time, tell me how much of those buggers there are. I could have died!"
"I'm sorry!" The farmer yelped.
"Sorry doesn't cut it." Xyry threw the farmer down on the ground and walked to the next little town.

Xyry woke up. It was about time for him to get back on the road. The life of a mercenary means that people want him dead. But he doesn't care. All the blood on his hands was for some gold pieces. So he can eat all the food he wants. Drink all the drinks he wants. Nobody could stop him. Unless if there was an army... He pushed the thought out and packed up his stuff. It wasn't much. Just a sword and and a crossbow.

Once he was out of the town, he put the cloak hood over his head. Xyry looked over his shoulder to find someone trailing him. He didn't show that he knew. He just kept walking, finding an isolated place to get rid of his stalker

"Yes actually." Elizabeth said. She was thinking of Jake. The Darkness corruption has taken him away from her. And the fact that the corruption is now gone, but her still not able to see him just tears at her heart.

"Then you know what must be done." The Elemental answered.

Elizabeth shook her head. "No. Not now. I promise, for as long as I live, I will not give over my powers until the One is stopped. And when he is, I will find a way to give you and the other Elementals their powers back, if it's the last thing I do."

"Promises are a curse missy. With that, you bind your soul into an agreement." The Elemental said. "Are you sure that you want to go through with it?"

Elizabeth nodded.

The Elemental sighed. "Then I will let you go. If only just to see what you will do. I'm quite interested in seeing these 'Elementists', take out the Essence thief known as the One."

Finally, Elizabeth had control of herself again. She has never felt this before. "Who... Who are you?"

The giant stood up, "I am an Elemental. An immortal being that watches over all things that reside with even a sliver of my power. So does the others."

"Why do you want my powers." She asked.

"Because, the One took them away from me. Harnessed them to let others be able to control my powers." He scoffed. "Elementists. Just as bad. Using my own powers."

"But I'm trying to stop the One." Elizabeth answered.

"Little girl, me and the other Elementals can easily do the job. We just decide to just watch mortals play hero and see what happens. But you broke an ancient rule, one that is deadly for 'Elementists'. If you venture to close to an Elemental, we will call forth our powers back to us. Sad to say it takes the souls too. But nevermind that. Give me my fire back."

You, along with countless other ninja from across the world have gathered at a movie studio. They have asked for the best ninja around. All seems well, until, a lone ninja that seems to be from an isolated place walked up to you, he said, "this whole place is a trap. Save yourself and follow me." He walked away, then turned around and said, "by the way, I'm Zyren." You choose wether to go with him or not. Your fate will then be decided.
