The Elementist (open RP)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → The Elementist (open RP)Meanwhile, Ali was stuck inside the gas station. She'd been holed up there for a few months, keeping her element hidden for so long, she wasn't even sure if she could still use it anymore. She kept her element hidden well, and she was sure none of the people realized. Except maybe the elementalists. She guessed that Lucia, the girl who'd dragged in a lot of food within the oast few days, was aware of an elementalists within the gas station, though Ali was certain Lucia couldn't tell who. She was safe, for now.
She heard the gates opening and her head perked up. A newcomer? Perhaps. Whatever it was, she leapt to her feet excitedly.
Bryan didn't pay a lot of attention to what he said. He just looked around. Absorbing everything in. In his daze, he suddenly found himself somewhere else. He shook his head. Did he imagine the whole thing? It felt real. He looked up at the sky. Black clouds everywhere. Bryan turned around and was face to face with a person.
"About time someone relieved me of my element!" The guy said.
"What?" Bryan said. "Um, I think you have the wrong person."
"You knowingly stepped through the wormhole, didn't you?" He asked.
"Wormhole? What? What's going on?" Bryan was confused.
"You came for the element space!" The guy yelled.
"What! No!" He answered. "I was walking and suddenly ended up here."
"Ah, blast it all. Just accept your newfound powers." The Elementist said.
"I accept?" Bryan was still confused
"Then I Boris of the Space Element, will pass on my powers to you." Boris said. He instantly fell to the ground, unmoving. A sphere that was black, spotted with white lights, like a starry night, went into Bryan.
Bryan looked around and said, "What just happened?"
Annabelle was starting to fall asleep when she heard music. And not just any music, but Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen. She looked out the windows. She seen shadows. They are no idiots, if they heard music, they would dear. Whoever had that music playing. But they weren't. Which means Annabelle is going crazy.
She decided to find the source of it.
Ali didn't recognize the redhead that appeared soon after. She'd seen the redhead around a few times but not often, because the other girl had been studying some ancient books or something. "There hasn't been anyone new here in a while." The redhead said, not noticing Ali. Her arms were still full of books.
Aiden was probably hearing things. He'd starrted hearing music. He didn't recognize it, but it probably meant someone was alive! And Annabelle had a guitar, maybe it was her?
Without thinking, he followed the sound.
Bryan sighed. "I guess I can try and go back to the gas station." He looked at his map and started walking. He then bumped into a person. He looked up and said, "sorry." The girl had blonde hair and blue eyes. She looked cute with her freckles. That's when he realized. Where he was, there were no people. He looked around and seen the gas station sign, along with a whole bunch of confused people looking at him.
Ali flushed awkwardly. "It's fine." She said. "You seemed out of it. Like, really, really out of it. You went super still and stuff. Kinda weird, y'know?" She waved a hand in front of his face. "You still here? You look confused. What happened?"
Sasha and Allen walked out of the crowd of people, to Bryan.
"How do you know?" Sasha asked.
"I was suddenly in a different place." Bryan answered. "And this guy, talked about wormholes and space and elements. And then he just gave his powers to me and then died."
Sasha closed her eyes, thinking. "Hm. There is so much that we know of these elements, but they still surprise us everyday. Come on Allen, we're going to talk to Well." She took hold of his hand and dragged him away.
Annabelle looked at him. "I hate heavy metal." And got up. Her ears were ringing badly, but she could hear everything. The smallest of steps. Hushed whispers of the wind. And the silent movement of the shadows. She dragged Aiden down to the ground, in cover. "Sh" was all she said.
Cam had returned back inside. Books were piled up in a corner, pens and paper scattered around the ground in said corner. She sighed, reaching down and lifting the papers, piling them neatly on top of a stack of books. One of the piles of books fell, and several books fell open. She groaned and moved on, closing them and stacking them again. One of the pages caught her eyes, and she crouched down, reading and writing again.
Aiden started to say something but immediately fell silent. If Annabelle had gotten the Sound Element, he'd definettly want to listen.
"Bryan." He introduced himself. "Sorry. About running down nto you like that. I'm not usually clumsy." Really Bryan? He thought to himself. That's the best you could come up with? "So what is your name?"
Sasha went to Cam. "Have you found anything on those books that Well and Sorin gave us?" Elizabeth was in a corner, reading a couple books. But didn't say anything. Sasha could feel her pain. Even after ten months, she refused to speak to anyone. Once in a blue moon, she will ask for something but that's about it.
Ali grinned at him. "Nice to meet you, Bryan." She said. "And it's fine. It gets crowded around here. It's hard not to get run into. I'm Ali." She added, tucking her hands into her pants pockets.
Cam shook her head. "No, not yet. I think one of these might have something, but I'm not sure. The translation is rough too, so I could be missing something." She sighed, closing her book and looking over at Elizabeth. It was. It was nice to have Elizabeth around, even if she didn't talk. Cam wished there was something she could do, but for now, she was forced to rely on Aiden. Even after all these months, the two flowers remained on her headband as usual.
Annabelle nodded. "Yeah. I'm not hearing anything too close to us. We should be good."
As they walked, Annabelle was humming Bohemian Rhapsody. It was stuck in her head.
Allen was of course, stuck with calling for their Ancient allies. "Well! You there buddy!"
"What services do you need?" We'll asked, right behind Allen.
"Dude! Stop doing that." Allen jumped.
"You called for help." Well said. "Did you need help?"
"Yeah," Allen said. "Sorry. Come on. Sasha and Cam need your expertise."
Aiden smiled faintly. It was nice having Annabelle around. He probably would have gone crazy without company. For some reason, Annabelle reminded him of Cam. He wasn't too sure why, but they seemed to have slightly similar qualities, in his opinion.
"Yo, Well! Been a while!" Cam called, spotting Allen and Well. Though it had been almost a year, she hadn't forgotten how he'd saved her. "Thanks, both of you." She added, looking at Allen and Well.
Bryan nodded. "Okay." He thought he saw Sasha and Allen go through a doorway. He opened the door to find them, along with some other people. "Um. Hey." He did a wave. "I was wondering what you would want me to do."
"Ah." Well said. "I see that you recruited two new Elementists."
"Two?" Sasha asked. Looking at Bryan and Ali.
"Oh, you didn't tell them?" Well looked at Ali. "It'll be okay. You can trust them."
"Oh. Uh," Ali flushed awkwardly. "Hi, I'm Mind." She said, a touch of boredom seeping into her tone. "Nice to meet you."
Cam gaped at her. She placed the book she'd been holding down onto the ground, sitting cross-legged on the floor already. Lucia, who'd come in in time to hear Ali's confession, let out a 'whoop'. Cam started at Lucia.
"I knew it!" Lucia exclaimed. Cam sighed and dropped her head into her hands, shaking her head silently.
"Allen" Sasha warned.
"It doesn't matter." Everyone was surprised to hear Elizabeth speak. "As long as she helps get Jake back, it shouldn't matter. Now that we know that we have at least two of the Elements, we know there is a chance."
Bryan then asked, "so what is it that Ali and I have to do?" He was new here, but knows that he just got himself roped into something much bigger.
Annabelle shrugged. "So where would be a good place to start?"
Cam yawned. "Maybe I should call my brother." She suggested. "Last time we talked it was still just him and Annabelle." She started pushing books around, looking for her phone.
Aiden shrugged blankly. "I dunno. I'm the worst leader. Do you have any idea where we should start?" He asked her. They were searching in the dark. Literally and metaphorically. "Maybe its time we call the others and see if they've found anything." He suggested.
"So we have to find these other Elements, along with bringing back this Jake?" He asked.
Sasha nodded.
Well then interrupted and said, "Do you don't need me?" He had a confused look on his face.
Annabelle waited by as Aiden called his sister. She kept her ears open, just in case if anything nasty comes their way
"Yo, Cam." Aiden said, voice coming across as slightly static-y. "Haven't heard you in a while."
Cam screeched, leaping to her feet and promptly tripped, knocking over a stack of books in the process. "Aiden!" She exclaimed.
....
Aiden winced at the sound of something crashing. "What did you knock over?" He asked her. "Its been three seconds and you're already breaking stuff."
"I didn't break anything!" Cam defended herself. "I knocked over a stack of books and hOLY S-"
"Aiden! Lucia's voice filled the speaker. "You're okay!"
"Hey, Lucia." Aiden replied lightly "Yeah, I'm fine. How are you?
"We're all fine." Lucia replied. "I mean. Most of us are okay. Some of us are still.. Uh. Healing, y'know?"
Aiden winced. Yeah, he did know. Last time he'd seen them, Elizabeth had been unconscious. He hoped she was coping better. He'd promised to find Jake, and he didn't intend to break said promise.
"Allen, not so loud." Sasha pushed him
Annabelle could hear all of them talking through the phone thanks to her new powers.
Well took a look at the writing. "It means the hybrid will rise and then fall, by their friends. He will then rise again, and fall by another hybrid"
"Here, Allen, just yell into the phone." Lucia said. Aiden guessed she was passing the phone to someone from the rustling sounds.
"Hey, be careful with my phone!" Cam yelled.
"Annabelle got Sound." Aiden offered. "But other than that, no. We we're actually calling to ask if you guys found anything out? Sorry, no time for chatting. We're on a deadline or something, remember?"
Bryan was at a lost. So the person they were looking for, is an Elementist, who put the who world into darkness. And is half human? How is even going to compete against that? That's like over 9000 for sure.
"Aiden." Allen said. "We got Mind and Space. Which means only Matter and Time are left."
Annabelle heard it. "That helps us out a lot. So now we need to find either one"
