"Yeah, I wonder why he- oh," Lan had turned the page, and his eyes
had gone wide. It was a picture of someone, of a human, drawn in
the exact same style of the previous sketch.
The human was a boy, looking at around his teenage years(though Lan
wouldn't know that). Unlike the other sketches, this one had color.
He had brown, messy hair that seemed to stick out in some places.
he had fair skin, square glasses, and peach fuzz on his lip.
However, this human had dark, deep brown eyes, and a red scarf,
just like Rick. "Oh..." Lan whispered, "That's him..."
"Uhhhhhh..." Lan muttered, deciding whether or not to tell Sam the
truth. Just then, Rick burst out of his room, his face beet red
with embarrassment and anger.
Rick snatched up his journal, and looked at the page they were
staring at. He glared at Lan. This was the angriest Lan had ever
seen Rick. "This is private," Rick said, "And not only did you take
it, again, but you showed it to..." Rick glanced at Sam, choosing
his next words carefully, "Person...! Who we don't even know if
they can be trusted!"
Sam flinched, and looked sincerely hurt. She then hissed, and
narrowed her eyes "alright if you don't think I can be
trusted...then I'll leave" she growled. Without waiting for a
responce, she turned, and left the house. She abandoned Lan, and
Rick in less than a few heartbeats, and went into town. Now
where do I go she growled to herself, and flicked an ear, I
have no place, and I'm a useless Pokemon...why am I even here!
she closed her eyes in an attempt to stop herself from crying out
like a lost child, and slowed her pace she was in an unfamiliar
part of town.
Sam looked around to see her surroundings. She was in a busier part
of town, close to Saffron's place, but still a decent away from
Lan's place. The area had s small part of the river, located in a
ditch to the left of her, and a small path was in front of her.
There were tall buildings that looked odd to her, and she guessed
she was close to the square. The sun shone into her eyes, and
narrowing her eyes against the harsh sun, she saw tons of Pokemon
rush by as if they had places to be. She jumped back as a
charizard, and a Meganium ran past on the path. The wind from the
charizard knocked her backwards, and she fell into the small ditch
near the side of the path. She stopped rolling down the ditch when
she crashed into the small lake that formed near Saffron's place.
She growled, and hauled herself out of the water. "Now what" she
growled, and shook her pelt out. "No where to go. I ruined the
trust with the only two Pokemon that would listen to me, and I'm
alone" she sighed. She decided to leave town by following the river
through town. "Maybe this river will lead me back to where I was
when I got here" she sighed. "Maybe then I can find a place to live
alone" she growled, and drew her ears back.
Lan sighed. "Im living with a bunch of over reactive idiots..." he
said, and headed for the door. "Im going to get Sam!" he called out
to Rick as he walked out.
Sam continued to walk alongside the river. The town was passing by
next to her, and eventually she left town. Looking up, and trying
to find out which way would be the best way to go. Sam heard a low
rumbled from over head. She looked up, and saw a few clouds in the
distance promising rain. "Well that's great" she said
sarcastically, and shook her head. "Doesn't matter" she sighed, and
continued along the river swiftly.
Lan headed to the square, looking around. "Where did she go..." he
muttered to himself. As clouds began rolling in, he began to ask
around for a lost looking litten.
A Mudkip heard Lan ask around about a Litten. He went up to the
Sandshrew "Are you looking for a Litten?" he asked kindly. "Because
I saw one a few moments ago...She went along the river, but I'm not
sure where exactly she was going. All I knew was she looked upset,
and confused" he sighed.
Sam closed her eyes as she continued. She paused as the first few
drops of rain began to fall. Shaking her head, and hissing, she
continued along the path. Keeping an eye out for somewhere she
could use as shelter.
Sam sighed, and eventually found a cavern near the top of the
ditch. It was safe from being damaged from the river if it flooded,
and was safe from the weather, and heat. She then climbed up the
rocks, and looked over her shoulder.
"Sam?" Lan called out again. He noticed a cavern nearby. Taking a
brief look, he found nothing, and kept moving. "Damnnit, whee is
she..." he said to himself as he continued his search down the
river.
