The latest Christmas special for me, finally saw it a week ago so not exactly a Christmas special for me... still, better than last year, by the time they showed it in New Zealand in 2013 it was more like an Easter special :P

Oh, and I watched a few bits of Forest of the Dead the other day to get the quote right for my art competition entry.

speaking of episodes and what-not, does anyone know where I can watch the 50th anniversary special online, from outside the UK? I can't watch it on BBC iPlayer...

Wow, it's been rather quiet around here lately... are you still out there? Or have the Weeping Angels come and sent you all back to a time before internet? :O

Looking forward to a great weekend, I'm house-sitting for a friend which means a whole weekend to myself to unwind after a busy week of study, which means Dr Who Marathon! I'm going to see how many episodes of David Tennant I can get through in two days. I have to sell my DW dvd's soon so I'm going to enjoy them while they are still with me..

Well, next year I'm going on a mission trip with a few others from my church to help do up an orphanage in Tanzania. I have a huge passion for that sort of thing, and I was trying to think of a way I could contribute to the orphanage monetarily. So I figured that the most expensive thing I own is my doctor who collection, and I've come up with the plan to have an auction for them. 54 dvds, 176 books, 4 limited edition collectors figurines... all up it's worth well over $1000NZ. I will miss them, but I think it is worth it. If I want to watch an episode I can always watch it online, and I've got heaps of the books on my e-book so I'm not really going to miss out too much. But I'm keeping the autographs, they are signed to me anyway so they aren't worth much to anyone else.

@JustMe: Wow, that's a lot of DW stuff. I would have difficulties giving up such an awesome collection but it's really heart warming to know you're willing to do it for the orphanage. Your sacrifice won't go to waste. :3
