"Washcloths and jugs will be perfect, thank you Sasha." Agathe
nodded and began to walk around the room, her hand on the wall.
"Learning to swim, or at least not drown would be very wise since
the island is surrounded by water." She stopped as she started
laughing. "You don't have to worry about me if I accidentally burst
in on you! I won't see anything!" She was trying to keep Sasha from
thinking about the statues and the people attacking her.
The line worked as it was supposed to. Sasha nearly fell down
laughing so hard. "That shouldn't be so funny but it is! I wasn't
too worried about you busting in on me but the mental image that
creates is just too funny."
Agathe suddenly stiffened up and stopped laughing. "I just
realizing something..." She turned her head to 'look' at Sasha.
"I'll never know if you're walking around in the buff..." Then she
started laughing again knowing how goofy that sounded.
Sasha laughed, shaking her head. "Oh, yeah you would. You know I am
not as we hugged and I was behind you. My tail, yes, is pretty much
naked. No point putting stuff on it. But I do wear a wrap around my
chest and middle. Sometimes I just go for a bikini style top. I was
raised to be modest about nudity and will teach my daughter to wear
clothes as well. Though...if I want buff maybe people would be too
busy gawking at me to look me in the eye...I can't decide if that
makes me frustrated and disgusted or want to try it..."
Agathe giggled as she continued moving around the edge of the room
and nodded. "Well, I can say for absolute certain that I wouldn't
be distracted if you did happen to be nude." She realized that when
she took a bath to get cleaned, she would have to clean her clothes
at the same time since she didn't have a change, and she did not
want to ask for anything since Sasha was already doing so much. She
stopped when she got to the doorway. "Okay, so is there anything I
might knock over? And where is the bed?"
"Not that I can see...they kept the rooms pretty bare. There is the
bed against the left side wall, a closet on the right, probably
with clothes in it. I haven't explored since I was little. And
there is a nightstand next to the bed," Sasha said, looking around.
"Oh! There is a chest at the end he of the bed and it has bedding
in it. Want some help getting the bedding on?"
"Oh good. I do know some sewing, but it's really basic and probably
looks awful, so I hope the clothes fit me." Agathe chuckled and
then nodded. "I would really appreciate help getting the bedding
on. That way I don't use the wrong thing, or put something on
backwards or upside down."
Sasha moved into the room, grabbing the bedding out of the chest
and handing Agathe one side of the mattress pad. "No worries. I can
help if it really needs help. I bet you do just fine. As for
getting the bedding wrong, it's bedding. No need to have it be
perfect. But I highly enjoy your company so I am jumping at the
excuse to spend more time with you."
Agathe felt what Sasha was doing so she could copy and mimic it.
"Except I don't remember the last time I slept on a bed, so I have
no idea how to set one up. I know blankets go on top, but I have no
idea what we just put on the bed." She chuckled and smiled. "No
need to make an excuse. I love your company as well Sasha,"
"It was basically just a protective sheet for the mattress. We'll
put on the fitted sheet next. This," Sasha said, handing the end if
the sheet to Agathe. "Just is the bottom sheet. It stays on thanks
to the sides that get tucked around the corners. The sheet goes on
last, with any other blankets you might like. As for sleeping in a
bed, you can have thirty beds, if you want. Or sleep by the fire in
the kitchen. So long as you are happy."
"Okay." Agathe was trying to memorize which order things were being
put on so she could take care of her bedding herself eventually. "I
think one is going to be soft enough that I'll worry about breaking
it." She chuckled. "Though the fire does sound inviting."
"I do it when it gets cold. My den stays relatively warm but in the
middle of winter, sometimes the fire in tbe kitchen is better. Your
room is close enough that it should stay relatively warm during
winter. But you are completely welcome to come sleep by it whenever
you'd like," Sasha said, putting out the rest of the sheet. "There.
All set here. I think dinner should be just about done."
"Thank you," Agathe said with a smile as she patted the bed feeling
how soft it was and how everything felt when it was set up right.
"Is there anything else I can help with in terms of dinner?"
"I will do whatever you need and want me to do." Agathe said as she
followed along. "I really don't mind helping, I actually like doing
it. Makes me feel useful."
"Chores will definitely be better. We can do things together and
get them done in half the time. Not to mention it'll leave time to
do things like explore and chat with amazing souls like Shaye,"
Sasha said, grinning as she pulled out a couple bowls.
"Yes. Speaking of Shaye, he should be around here somewhere..."
Agathe stayed nearby so she could take what she was given. "Shaye?"
She called out, and a chirp came from above on the pillars where
he'd been watching them since they came into the room. "Oh there
you are." She chuckled.
"How has dinner been, kind sir?" Sasha asked, scooping out a
bowlful of stew for Agathe and herself. Putting a spoof in the
bowls, she offered Agathe her bowl. "And here is yours, Agathe."
Agathe repeated her question and Shaye cawed and lowered his beak
to his claws where he picked off some more meat scraps from his
talon. "He said it was quite good, and thank you from me." She said
as she took the bowl. "Where do you usually eat?"
"Glad he enjoyed and typically I just eat wherever. But there is a
dinning table and a kitchen table. Kitchen table is where I eat
normally if I sit at the table," Sasha replied, making her way
over.
