"Great. I halfway want to go back and find a Pidgey, but... Oh well," Mira shrugged and began to walk off.

Mira kept listening and watching out for any movement or noises. She half expected another Pokemon to jump out at her.

But instead, a human jumped out at her yelling and scaring her half to death. She fell back onto the ground, panting.

A boy stood above her, laughing. "Oh, you should have seen your face!" He heaved, hunched over. Mira scrunched up her nose, annoyed, and sat up. Bulbasaur, who looked equally disgusted, climbed back onto her shoulder after being thrown off.

Tiger crossed his arms, and tilted his head "and who might you be" he said slightly in an annoyed tone.

"I could ask the same question," Mira mumbled, standing up.

"Lucas! Professor Oak sent me to find you two. He's got potions!" He held up two bags. Mira took one cautiously. "Anyway... Mira, right?"

"How do you know my name?"

"Oh, I'm your cousin. According to the Professor, anyway."

Tiger looked uncertain "nice to meet you Lucas" he said slightly cautious. "Surely the potions aren't the only reason you're hunting down two trainers instead of a Pokemon in the forest" he said kindly.

Lucas nodded. "I get that," He turned to Mira hopefully, with a friendly smile on his face.

"No. I need my Pokemon to get stronger before I even think about battling anyone," She shook her head. Lucas sighed and shrugged.

"Maybe next time. Well, I'll see you in Pewter!" He waved, walking past the two of them to the exit of the forest.

Tiger blinked, and sighed "maybe we should head to Pewter anyway. I need to heal Cyndaquil, and then we can come back here, and try to look for more pokemon" he suggested as he watched Lucas walk away.

Mira followed, smiling, as they entered Pewter. The city was small, sure, but she always loved coming here. "I'll go to the Poke Mart, you go heal up Cyndaquil. Sound good?" She asked, starting to walk off.

Tiger nodded, and headed for the pokemon center. Once he walked inside he handed Cyndaquil over to Nurse Joy, and noticed a boy was looking at him. "Oh hey it's little Tiger" the boy said in a mocking tone. Tiger then sighed slightly annoyed.

She entered the Poke Mart to the welcoming face of the cashier. "Oh, Mira! Is your father in town again?" He asked, smiling.

"No, I'm here on my own, fresh from Three Island. On my quest," Mira explained, smiling. Bulbasaur poked his head out of Mira's bag, smiling and waving at the cashier, who chuckled.

"Perfect! What do you need today?" He asked, searching under his counter.

"Twenty Pokeballs," Mira replied, tapping her fingernails on the counter. The cashier pulled out a bag.

"That'll be 4,000 Pokedollars."

She pulled out the money and took the bag. "Bye!" She called as she exited. The cashier replied a friendly encouragement in reply. She sighed, seeing Tiger wasn't there. "I thought he'd be done by now," She mumbled to Bulbasaur, who only shrugged in reply.

Cyndaquil came out of the treatment room feeling a lot better. He then saw a Squirtle, and froze. "Hello Lion" Tiger said simply.

"What no friendly act? Man just when I was thinking we'd be getting along better now to" Lion shrugged mockingly.

"Listen I'm busy so I'd better-" Tiger began in an attempt to leave the center, and meet up with Mira. Lion then grabbed him by his wrist.

"Go and do what? I mean I just got my first badge, and I'd like to battle" he said lowly.

"Better go see what he's up to, right?" She said to Bulbasaur, smiling, and walked to the Pokemon Center. "Wonder if he met up with Lucas."

As Mira entered, seeing the scene, she walked up to the two. "Hey! Who's this?" She asked, looking to Lion.
