Alex sat his bat aside and showed him he meant no harm, not having
any other weapon aside from his bat.
he sat Flurry down and showed him his hand's, as a sign of
peace. i've watched enough zombie movies to know how to act around wary
survivors.. he thought.
then he jumped and looked up at the tree the girl, Fae, had spoken
from and gulped.
''u-um, kinda obvious since i threw my weapon down...'' he
muttered, loud enough for her to hear.
~~~~~
Alice soon made her way out of the forest and booked it to the
forest, the same direction the house was in, without even realizing
as much.
~~~~~
Amanda soon made it to her own base in the forest, hidden by year's
of foliage around the side's and the roof, only noticeable to her
eye's since she knew where it was, and went inside, bolting down
the door and put a board down on hooks that were screwed into the
wall since the door came inward.
she went to go check the other entrances just in case.
Lise looked at Troye, worried. "Are you okay?" She asked. He
nodded, though it was clear he wasn't. Lise shook her head. "We
should move. This place is too close to the junkyard." She said.
"Yeah." He said, grimacing as he got up. He grabbed two of the
backpacks along with his own and Lise got her own and pulled out
her gun. She felt bad for making him do all of this, but they had
to go. They quietly left the shack and began walking, towards the
city. They would stay there for a bit, then move on if it got too
dangerous. Troye was limping, but for the most part he seemed
alright. Lise sighed. Of course it was medical supplies they had to
be running low on of all things.
Oliver stared at Alexander. He blinked, stepping forward and
putting his hand on the door handle. He opened it a little,
gripping his bat. He blinked, staring Alexander up and down. He
opened the door more, and said "Come in. Quickly." He said,
stepping aside to let the boy inside.
Alexander looked back at Oliver and blinked, then made sure his bag
was with him before picking up his weapon and the cage with his
owl, then went over and held the bat's handle to him.
''here, so i'm unarmed and can't harm you'' he said as he entered.
Trixie continued to knock on the door of the abandoned cabin. The
Walkers were getting closer. "Gem, stay close to me. We'll be
okay." She said quietly when she noticed that Gem was getting
scared. Gem nodded and stood next to Trixie.
(Constantly remakes what my character is doing lol)
Fae hopped down and said to the boys. "I'll keep lookout don't need
to worry." She then climbed up into the roof and sharpened her last
two daggers.
Oliver nodded, taking the bat. He closed the door slowly, and set
both bats on the kitchen counter as he passed. He looked at Alex.
"Sit, please. Would you like some water?" He asked, showing a water
bottle to the boy. He nodded as Fae jumped onto the roof. He
jumped, finally hearing the frantic knocks. He set down the bottle
and opened the door. He noticed the walkers and winced. "Inside,
now." He said to the two, brow furrowed.
Maria, noticing the walkers, wincing. She'd have to sneak around
and come through the back. She began to shift and go through the
woods.
Trixie and Gem went inside. "Thank you." Trixie said quietly. She
and Gem stood beside each other close to the walls of the room.
They hoped nothing bad would happen while they were here.
Alexander blinked as he watched outside passed Oliver at the
walkers and remained silent.
he soon went over and closed the door once he moved Oliver
aside.
~~~~~
Alice soon managed to come up to the building but noticed the
walker's, her eye's wide.
she silently made her way around and climbed up a tree, making sure
she had her things.
They walked for a bit but eventually Troye cried out a bit. "Lise I
can't walk anymore..." He mumbled. She sighed. She looked around
and saw a cabin nearby and led him toward it. She knocked
cautiously on the door, unsure if anyone was inside. She looked
back at Troye, who's face was even more pale then before. "How do I
get into these messes?" She muttered.
Oliver closed the door, and locked it quickly. She looked at the
two. "You can take a seat, if you'd like." He said, smiling. He
went back to the counter, getting two more water bottles. "Do you
two want water? Or medical help, either of you?" He asked, soft
smile. He heard another knock and sighed. He opened the door and
gasped. "Oh! Come in!" He said, noticing how pale Troye was.
Maria was close enough to notice someone on the roof. She blinked
and narrowed her eyes, and sighed. Oliver probably let someone in
again. Let's just hope he didn't allow more than one person in the
house.
Lise's eyes widened, she didn't actually think anyone would be
here. "Oh um, thank you. Sorry..." She said, helping Troye inside.
Troye could only manage a nod and a small smile. She leaned him
against the wall and put their things next to him, talking to him
quietly.
"I should be asking you if you need any medical help. I'm a
doctor." Trixie said calmly, not trying to sound rude. She watched
as some other people came in. She was ready if anyone needed
medical assistance.
"I could go for some water, if it's not too much trouble." Gem said
quietly.
Alexander went over and sat down on the floor, putting the cage
down next to him before he opened it.
Flurry hopped out of it's cage and fluttered up onto the coffee
table.
he stroked the owl's head and sighed, running his hand across the
owl's feather's.
''i'm good on water, to answer what you said earlier'' he said to
Oliver.
Oliver looked at Troye and Lise worriedly. "You should lay him down
on the couch." He quipped softly. He looked at Trixie and smiled.
"Oh? I was actually going to go into medical school before this."
He said, smiling. He handed Gem some water with a smile. He passed
to Troye, handing Lise two water bottles. "Here." He hummed. He
looked at Alexander and smiled.
Maria walked onto the back porch, and opened the screen door. She
blinked as she saw all of the people. "What the heck, Oliver?!" She
hissed, looking around. "Oh! Maria, you have to understand.. These
people needed shelter!" Maria closed the door, and huffed. "I
suppose we have enough rooms..." She muttered. "If we get robbed by
any of them, I swear..." She snapped at him, in front of all of
them. "They won't! I swear!" Oliver said, crossing his heart.
Alexander looked at Maria with his double colored eyes and glared,
seeming a bit annoyed at the tone she had.
''i would never stoop as low as stealing, so shut your trap and
give the guy some slack'' he snapped back rather bitterly towards
her, defending Oliver for him just being kind to let everyone seek
shelter.
"Thanks..." Lise said quietly when Oliver handed her the water
bottles. She gently helped Troye onto the couch. He was sweating,
but his face had regained some color. "Gee Troye, you must have
hurt your foot pretty badly..." Lise mumbled and Troye chuckled a
bit, which Lise took as a good sign. "Well..." He began and Lise
shook her head. "You can explain later. No, you will explain
later." She said and Troye sighed. "Yes ma'am.." He mumbled. Lise
glanced over at Maria but didn't say anything. She didn't really
have the right to say anything.
Oliver looked at Alex and gave a soft smile. He coughed. "But...
They can stay, right?" He asked, thinking he may be asking too
much. He gave a pleading look, with puppy dog eyes. Maria stared
down at him and sighed. "Of course. He's not gonna get anywhere,"
she pointed to Troye, "They were chased by zombies," She said,
remembering the hoard outside, "And I don't know why the heck he's
here." She pointed to Alex with a glare. He was getting in the
wrong foot with her already. "The more, the better!" Oliver said
with a smile. Maria shook her head. "And what's with the one on the
roof?" She asked, tilting her head. Oliver shrugged.
Alex huffed and reached into the bag, pulling out a portable cage
big enough to house a few mice and reached in, holding one up by
the tail in front of Flurry.
''here ya go girl, eat up'' he said.
the owl reached up with her talon and snagged the mouse away from
him, hopping down onto the floor before giving a final blow to the
mouse that made it give a tiny squeak before she started to eat it.
