The hacker finally finished shopping, waving goodbye to the old
couple who owned the berry stand. They had known him for years;
watching him grow up in Gotham. Beck always had a soft spot for
them - even more so than some of his family. The two always gave
him free samples and are the ones who spawned his passion for
living a healthy life as a child. He hauled his bags up onto his
shoulders, walking past the bank that was robbed yesterday. It was
covered in yellow tape, and police cars still remained in front of
it. Broken glass littered the ground. If Beck had gone any closer
than the sidewalk, he was sure that he would inhale a lungful of
dust.
Good thing any footprints he left were a distance from the site and
any that were visible had been covered by debris from the
explosion.
He sped through the outskirts of Gotham until he reached Wayne
Manor. This time, he only brought one thing--gas bombs.
He sprinted into the Batcave, hoping to get in and out as soon as
possible. His urgency spiked as soon as he saw his graffiti gone.
Someone was down here.
The Batcomputer was, of course, massive. He immediately pulled up
the criminal files and looked to see if they were any different on
here--these were automatically updated much more frequently. Nope.
They were exactly the same.
But, there was something here that the Joker didn't have--tracking.
After she passes Wayne Manor se smells Joker. She sends an alert to
any team member about the guy on the carpet. She then rushes into
Wayne manor and into the batcave.
The Joker, before he could even bring up the trackers, heard
footsteps above. He cussed under his breath and sprinted out the
other way, pulling the ring on one of the bombs and throwing it on
the ground before going out the way the Batmobile usually went.
The Joker hid, knowing she couldn't smell him through the smoke
with the mask on. The visor was really his problem. He got another
bomb from his belt and chucked it, aiming for Al's eyes.
Altessia grabs it and trows it back at him. Had he stayed still he
may have had the upper hand. t least he would until she saw him.
She waits for the bomb to go off and then walks over.
"You say that like you didn't expect me to break out. Have you not
seen any of the headlines?" He asked, laughing. "I can't believe
you're not asking me, instead, why I'm in the Batcave."
"I kind of figured why. You have been fiddling with the
batcomputer. To ask why would be unnecessary." She cracks her
knuckles. "What I want to know more importantly is why you didn't
do that the first time you were in here. And what you want with
this." She holds up the cape from Batman's suit. She then opens a
portal to her hideout and puts it on her desk. She closes the
portal and sighs. "Have you ever heard of ultra violet?"
"Of course I have. And as for the cape, let's just say a certain
someone wants it. Now, that part, I couldn't tell you."
"The Batcomputer wasn't an objective in my last visit. This time,
it is. Want to know why? See for yourself. I can wait," He motioned
to the Batcomputer.
