"What was her name again, mama?" The little girl asked the mother, practically bouncing. "Alexis, darling." The mother responded. The girl turned her eyes to the newborn Alexis again. "Alexis..." She said, as if trying it out on her tongue. The brother continued to hold her, making her feel comfortable and at home. The mother sighed, staring lovingly. "Maybe we should let her rest. We have her bed, remember? And it's not too early to sleep..." Alexis looked up at the mother with wide eyes. Sleep? She had only woken up... Sort of. This had to be something to do with second lives... But on another dimension? She had no clue, and was too deep in thought to notice the brother pass her back to her mother. The mother carried her to a small nest of blankets and pillows, placing her in it with a blanket. Alexis blinked up at the mother, who sat beside her.

Another person--a male human, with no discernible marks of in-humaneness--approached the woman. "What should we name her?" He smiled down at Mira.

"...Mira," The woman replied, rocking her gently.

"I like it," The man replied, reaching a hand down to stroke Mira's hair. He hit something... Odd. Mira frowned and reached a hand up to the top of her head to feel two large, rounded ears. Her eyes widened.

The man and woman above her just chuckled. "Welcome to the world, Mira," The woman said. And, just like that, something clicked.

Mira had been reincarnated, and these were her new parents.

"What a tumble... you alright little one?" A soft voice asked. Farl was stunned 'Who is that? I... don't recognize it...' He thought. He was soon picked up by his "Mother", a Mothkin with Green fur and blue eyes. Her wings were big and orange in color. 'How... soft...' Farl thought as he was held.

His "mother" mustve heard the noise both of them were making. She had picked both of them up . "I think I will call you Drust and Arazen"

Drust had eventually just fallen asleep in her arms exaughsted already

(The next day)

Mira woke up in a bed, rubbing her eyes. She was now fully clothed in a shirt and pants; simple night clothes.

She sat up and flicked her ears, still amazed by the fact that she had them. What was even stranger to her was that she could move them. I wonder if I have anything else... She thought. Her toes didn't feel right, but she was too cold to take her clothes off. She looked behind her to see a white, fluffy tail. God, this is getting weirder and weirder... She thought, staring.

Alexis had fallen asleep, and was woken by being picked up by the mother. She squirmed for a moment in confusion, but, upon realizing she was fine, stopped. She was set down and the mother grabbed some clothing. A tanktop, which she slid over Alrxis and led her winged arms through the straps. Wait, wings? Alexis stared at them for a moment, before giggling. The mother stared proudly at her. The mother slid on some shorts too, and picked Alexis up. "Time for breakfast, my sweet." She purred, making Alexis smile.

Farl had woken up on his own. 'So... this is who I am now?' He thought. His mother slowly approached him. "Good morning. I'm sorry, but in the excitement of yesterday I forgot to name you... now then, let me see....." She murmured. "Farl!" Farl blurted out, shocking himself. 'Farl? Why did you just SHOUT that?!? Stupid!' He thought. His mother looked at him, and smiled. "Alright then. Farl it is." She giggled.

Drust had woken up in a sort of bed. There was actually some light in the room now which he realized to be some sort of cave. Looking at himself he. Had realized he wasnt quite human anymore with claws and fur as well as a sort of wind membrane on his arms.. The werebat from before had come in. "Little one your awake huh? I should get you something to eat now that your awake"

Mira got up, swishing her tail curiously, and looked around her. The walls and ceiling were dirt--it was almost like she was in some sort of den. "Mom?" She called out, exiting her "room".

"Oh and if you look at this! I brought you a treat!" Farls mother said cheerfully. She presented him with a glass filled with.... nectar. 'That looks... weird...' Farl thought. 'Still... better accept it... don't want to be rude now...' Farl took the glass carefully and started to gather the willpower to drink it.

Mira suddenly realized she was unsteady on her feet--something was definitely off, but she didn't bother to look. She'll figure it out eventually.

Her mother was in the next room. "Morning sweetie!" She greeted, holding out a 'plate' of berries. "Come eat breakfast."

"Alright..." Mira smiled and took the plate, looking at the berries hungrily before starting to eat. They were sweet and ripe.

Farl slowly started to drink. 'Oh man what is this stuff..... it tastes........ sweet?' He thought as he finally could taste it. 'this is GOOD!'

His mother looked at him and smiled. "Your sure hungry! I'll go get you something... bigger!" She said, before leaving.

Mira licked the juice off of her lip and smiled up at her mother. "Can I go out and play today?" She asked, the tip of her tail twitching impatiently. That'll take some getting used to, for sure.

"Alright. Be back by sundown!" She replied, leaning over and kissing Mira on the head. "And change your clothes before you go out!"

"I will!" Mira replied, rushing back into her room.

His mother had left and brought back some meat well what looked like a very recent kill. Drust had realized how hungry he was looking at it and imidiatly dug in.

Farls mother returned. "Hey... I may be a while getting more food for ya... why don't you go outside and explore? I'll be close by just so you know. You'll be safe." She offered.

Farl nodded, and stumbled outside.

Mira, after changing into a shirt and jacket, hesitated before pulling up her pant leg. Paws. Paws and stubby little claws, not to mention the fur. She gasped. This is so weird...

She shook her head and changed her pants, before sprinting outside into the cold, frigid air.

As Mira ran, she came face to face with a weasel. It had gleaming red eyes and fangs, and small horns coming out of its head. She stepped back for a moment, startled, and looked at it carefully.

Farl turned around. 'Opps.... forgot clothes..... that would be embarrassing.' He thought. He quickly threw on some jeans (that were torn...) and a sweater (with noticeable bite shaped holes taken out of it...) and then ran back out.
