Well, I did this as an attack on ArtFight.

I keep making cute characters look sort of like their actual species of animals a bit ; - ;

@Ice - The anatomy on the Leafeon could use a bit of work. The body itself is too long (vertically) and there isn't a clear back portion. Leafeon is based off of like, a fox or some sort of y'know, other 4 legged creature so if it were sitting like I think the one in your drawing is doing it would look a little bit more like this:

I would try maybe defining the back / hind quarter when you draw animals or four legged Pokemon. But I love how there's a mitten on the Leafeon's head leaf! What an adorable little apparel piece in a cute place.

And for the chicki drawing - I'd define the beak more since it is a chicken. I first thought it was a bunny and wouldn't have been able to tell it was a chicken if not for the little side note, so just keep that in mind!

Aside from that keep up the great work (:

@Flower I like the antomony of the artwork, but the wings seems off to me and the the arm looks shorter than the left arm. The color palette is cool as well and is not an eyesore. { I'm sorry if I said that if it doesn't seem criticizing. }

@~ice_of_the_wolf~

I like it but I think there could be things done better. Everything looks smushed together, I suggest maybe trying to add depth! I sud gets mostly on the snout legs and arms. Also many people don’t realize it but we have much more for head then we think so we put the eyes way up at the top and it makes it look somewhat weird witch is what I think happened. The body also seems to be curving in and out to me, the neck looks thicker then the torso and the body seems to get smaller towards the legs. I hope that wasn’t to Much!

@FlowerDragonStary no that wasn’t too much information and I’ll try my best because sometimes I draw on paper instead of phone or computer

@Flower - I have some critiques for ya! Those are some super cute gijinkas but I'd love to see some shading/depth in the Spoink's pearl, and the bends in the legs on both of them should be a little more defined. On the Grumpig, the away-facing ear kinda phases over the bangs/hair and it looks off so keeping the ear behind the hair in the future will help. It would also be nice to see some distinction between the torso and hair, since they are the same color! :>

@Flower: Ahh I love those designs! Like Furret said, shading would help ^^ With a lot of their different parts having the same colour, shading can really help distinguish them ^^ It also adds depth to the piece ^^ Do you use references? And by that, I'm not only talking about a Spoink or Grumpig reference, I'm thinking more of anatomy or pose references. These can really help with working out where the body parts go, and how they look.
@Ice: That's a cute character! I'd suggest shading as well, as everything is the same colour, and it's difficult to tell where what ends. Do you use references? Again, they really help with working out where so and so goes. For example, if I couldn't work out how to draw a fist, then I could look up a fist reference, and then I'd draw based on the reference. This usually helps me a lot ^^

(I'll drop some art in later)

@flowerdragonstary
i really like the designs, they're super adorable!

i think furret and eifie covered most of the bases, but do keep in mind that while shading can absolutely help, it's not necessary for a piece to look good. (flat color proves this!) i think at the moment, you should focus more on the anatomy of your characters rather than the shading, but that's just me. since they're gijinkas, you're going to want to use human references. you don't necessarily even have to use realistic human refs; anime works just fine.

@ice_of_the_wolf
it's pretty cute! like i said above, while shading (as eifie said) can absolutely help with separating parts from others, it's not necessary. you might want to try using lines/guidelines for your drawing instead of going lineless! while lineless art can definitely work, i think starting out with lines might help with figuring out where each body part is. a lot of lineless artwork starts out with lines, too!

that's just my two cents though! good work, you two.
