A Dangerous Rebellion
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → A Dangerous RebellionCassie grinned into the kiss and giggled softly. "You have a point,"
Max grinned, basking in the love he shared with the woman beside him as they walked.
Octavius was content beside Jason. Though, he enjoyed tickling Jay every now and then as they walked. He sighed happily when the estate came into view. "Home sweet home."
Cassie was very happy to be with Max, but she couldn't help but be excited to see their girls.
Jason nodded and sighed with him. "Home is where the heart is, so I guess that you could say that you are my home."
Max smiled, seeing their reaction. "It is too pretty not to share. Let's get you both settled into a room. Then you can sleep or meet Cassie and i's girls."
Octavius translated for Magda before kissing Jason. "And you are my home, Jason. I will be content beside you."
Cassie caught a whiff of something in the air, but she couldn't pick it up again, and figured it was likely nothing.
"I feel just the same." Jason said happily.
Max chuckled. "They may be asleep. But let's see, shall we?" He asked, unlocking the door and stepping in. A shiver ran down his spine. The feeling that someone had been in his home when he was away flashed over him. That was silly. His parents had watched the girls. He had to just be tired.
Octavius smiled, kissing him.
Cassie noted a change in Max's demeanor and that slight stutter in his step. She moved ahead of the group to the girls' room. "Why don't you check in with your folks..." She commented to Max. Things weren't feeling right. She did not like it in the slightest.
Jason heard Cassie's comment and his brows furrowed. "You two okay?"
Max nodded, going into military mode. He drew his sword, resting it at his side. "Meet back here," Max replied to Cassie, blending with the shadows. "Something feels wrong, Jay," he tild his cousin, giving him a concerned look before hurrying off to check on his parents.
"Should we go after them?" Octavius asked, automatically sending out vibrations so he could sense what was going on around the house.
Magdalena looked down the halls that Cassie and Max went down before choosing to follow after Max. She stayed behind him several yards, giving him plenty of room to maneuver. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she figured it wasn't good.
Jason nodded, and seeing Cassie go off, he went over to follow after her. Having someone alone wasn't a good idea.
Max kept his eyes and ears open, making his way to his parents room. Easing the door open, he found the room empty. Turning, he led the woman following him to the library. His mother would be there if not in her suit. They had taken to sleeping together again. He only hoped they had fallen asleep somewhere in the house. On a whim, he reached out to pray to Vera but got no reply. Something seriously was wrong!
Magda followed along, unsure of what she should be looking for, but she was ready to fight since Max had his sword drawn.
Jason followed Cassie into the room and noticed the girls were gone, but he couldn't pick up on the smell. He turned and ran after her when she left.
Andromeda nodded, hurrying forward to pick the slim woman up. "I've got her. Let's go," she said.
Octavius snarled softly, pulling his daggers and throwing out more vibrations in his search.
Cassie followed Max's scent towards the library and met him partway in the hall. "I found this in their room... They weren't there... I can smell someone, but I haven't smelled it before..." She held up the paper to show him. "Get them settled in bed, someone should stay with them to make sure they're okay, but I'm going to try and track the scent before it fades..." Her voice was laced with a growl as she got to the end of what she was saying. To say she was angry would be an understatement.
"I'll stay with them. I would likely just slow you all down anyways. Go find your girls." Jason reached out to take Max's dad from him.
Octavius stayed with Jason. "Not leaving you here without a little back up. They may come back for them or you. You need a heavy hitter. Max has at least Cassie," he said, looking around for any sign of other people.
Andromeda did her best to explain what was going on to Madga. She followed after the worried parents, figuring at least one of the tattoos on her skin would help give them an advantage.
Cassie gently held his hand for a moment, but let go of it. "You go get Razz and two others for them. We need to move fast. Faster than you on foot I'm afraid." She wasn't wrong, but there wasn't much of a nicer way to put it.
Magda nodded and followed after Max and Cassie, wishing she had a gun with her. Or even a sling. Perhaps Max had something she could use. "Andromeda, can you ask Max if he happens to have a rifle? Even a pistol would work..." If not she could make a sling if she could find the right materials.
Max nodded. "Go, leave a trail or something for Razz to follow," he told Cassie before leading the girls off. After hearing Magda's request through Andromeda's translation, he darted into a supply room off of the stable. "It isn't used often, but the stable hand keeps one out here in case predators go after the horses.I think we will make better use of it. And I can get him a new one." Handing the gun off to Magda, he made sure she had as many bullets as she may need.
Andromeda shook her head, gently pushing Max towards the horses. "Her power, remember? We just need to saddle the horses. I can ride bareback. Magda, ever ridden a horse?" She asked, looking up at the woman while she undid the door to a mare that had caught her eye. Max was leading Razz out. The horse seemed to sense his masters urgency and hurried out, nickering softly.
Cassie nodded. "I'll dig my feet in so my trail should be obvious." She turned and ran off working to find the trail of the scent. When she was sure about her direction she dug her feet in as she moved so her own trail was clear.
"Horse? Yes. Our saddles were never as complicated as that. I'll ride plainback." Magda took the gun and inspected it for just a moment before looking to find a horse. She found herself a chestnut stallion that seemed itching to run. She raised her hand to his nose to let him smell her before she led him out. Her action seemed to have calmed the horse enough so he didn't jostle himself.
Andromeda shook her head, climbing up the door to the stall the mare had been in. Carefully, she mounted the horse before closing the door with her boot. "I got it. Magda, do you need a hand up?" She asked. The mare, Razz's neighbor, was completely unphased by the strange, dark skinned human climbing onto her back. Though, she turned her head to nuzzle her leg. Razz's human let them in. They had to be good people. He took care of Razz. Where were his little humans with their sugar and carrots?
"He is a really cool horse," Andromeda agreed, following close behind Max. She melded her body to the mare, making herself more streamline.
