A Dangerous Rebellion
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → A Dangerous RebellionCassie just stared, her toothed maw slightly open as she watched the spectacle unfold before her.
Jay was laughing all the way into the water, and it was only when he dove under the surface did his voice go silent.
"You don't have to but it can be fun," Max explained, watching the trio in the water.
Octavius had dove in, feeling free in the water. Razz, confident that Jason was fine, kept an eye on Octavius. When the redhead stayed under longer then Razz deemed safe, the horse hurried over, dragging Octavius up by his pants. "Razz! Razz, I am fine," Octavius tried to explain to the horse. He was roaring with laughter and let the big horse carry him back to the shallow water. Razz deposited his rescued human in the knee deep water before giving him a talking to. The whole while, Octavius tried to tell Razz he was fine and explain his powers. After a display, the horse seemed to be less weary for Octavius' safety but kept an eye on him.
Cassie looked over at Max and nodded showing that she'd be good with it.
Jason came up and was able to see the whole thing. He fell over laughing and when he got a handle on his laughter he came over and patted Razz thanking him for saving Octavius. "You're a good friend Razz," He offered Octavius a hand to pull him up. "You all good there mister got saved by a horse."
Hazel grinned, holding on as she got ready.
Razz looked rather smug and whinned a 'you're welcome' to Jason while Octavius pulled himself up with Jay's help. "I am, thanks. It appears Razz believes I will drown. Poor guy doesn't realize I am least likely to do so."
Jason patted Razz's neck and shoulder with a grin. "He'll have to get used to it." He looked to Octavius and then to his cousin. "Well, looks like things are getting started without us."
Octavius chuckled, nodding as he wrapped an arm around Jason's waist. "It would appear so. Shall we join them?"
Cassie heard the shriek and stopped almost instantly as she tried to figure out what had happened.
Jason waved back to Max and he nodded. "Joining them soun-" He was caught a bit off guard as he heard Violet's shriek, so it took him a moment before he took off to get over to them.
Max reacted without hesitation, sweeping Violet up into his arms and holding her up high as he searched for anything in the water. "What happened, Violet? Did something hurt you? Did you step on a rock? A shell? Are you hurt?" He asked, eyes sweeping over her legs and feet to double check.
Octavius set off, bolting over and reaching out in the water with his power to catch anything that was nearby. Frowning, he felt the loose bit of seaweed in the watDr and used his abilities to sweep it into his hand.
Cassie pulled Hazel from the water with one arm, the other was ready to rend whatever was the source of the upset. When she found nothing moving, and spotted the weed in Octavius' hand she let out a slow sigh of relief. She still held onto Hazel though and moved over to place a large furry hand on Violet's back. "Shh, it's okay... It's all okay... Look," She motioned to what Octavius held. "It was just a water plant..." As she'd never been taught about the sea, she didn't know what it was called.
Jason moved to his cousin's side to help console Violet and he whispered calming words to her until Cassie was able to explain.
Max chuckled, hugging Violet close. "No need to worry, sweet pea. I am with you on that stuff. It freaks me out too. Still freaks me out. I stay away from it when I can. I think Uncle Octavius got it all. Would you like to stand in the water again? If not, I will happily hold you, princess."
Octavius nodded, holding the offending material in his hands so the girls could see without it being too close. "I don't like it when they touch me underwater either. Too close to an unexpected touch. I didn't do well with unexpected, unwanted touching. But this is seaweed. He's just a plant that lives underwater. He helps with getting oxygen there and provides homes for fish to hide in. Would you like to see what it looks like? I can bring us all under to check it out for about an hour. You can see all the fish and little creatures interacting," Octavius offered.
Cassie leaned in so that the sisters were closer, and so that she could nuzzle Hazel with her warm fur. It made the girl feel better, and it made her feel better as a mother.
Jason smiled and nodded. "He can do that. He wouldn't suggest something that he couldn't make happen."
Razz, who had rushed over when the guys had, sniffed at the plant in Octavius' hand. Apparently finding the seaweed lacking, he began to prance in the water, kicking up spray and whinnying loudly.
Max, shook his head at the horses antics. "Hey, goofball! Don't wonder too far. It is normally quiet near the shore, right?" He asked, the last part asked to Octavious.
"I can and yeah, normally this close it is. But if we go over by those rocks, we could find life. Tide pools. I can't recall if I have used my powers in front of you girls yet...I can control the elements. Bend them, move them and feel through them. I was planning to create a large ball of air that we can use to breath with while under water. It is easier to keep water out then it is to force air into a spot," Octavius replied, grinning at Hazel's dropped jaw.
Cassie chuckled and offered to let Hazel down, but would gladly carry her if she wanted to.
Jason smiled, happy to see the girls were once again returned to a proper state of emotion.
Max smiled, happy to see the twins so excited.
"Ready?" Octavius asked, dropping the seaweed and stepping closer. He was already gathering a larger supply of oxygen to them the waves brushing against it but staying out.
Violet still had her face tucked partially into Max's neck, but she nodded.
"Ready as always," Jason smiled.
Max rubbed Violets back, hugging her some more to make sure she knew she was safe and loved.
The redhead smiled, making sure the air pocket was big enough before setting off. He stayed close to the group, and Jay, of course. Soon, they were under water, feet padding along the sandy bottom. A few curious fish darted around the pocket of air, oogling the people within.
Cassie walked with the group, and kept her ears pinned down on the top of her head so they wouldn't brush against the roof. Since she'd never been under the water like this, this was amazing to her and it showed in her eyes.
Jason grinned watching the expressions of everyone in the bubble, and he kept an eye on Octavius to make sure he didn't tire himself out.
Max took everything in before settling his gaze on the girls and Cassie for a few moments.seeing their joy and excitement was very nice.
Octavius kept holding their air pocket, highly enjoying the moment. He was holding up just fine and getting to share his powers in a good way like this wade breathtaking in it's beauty. He pointed out things he thought they would enjoy.
