Ok so one day in middle school. It was the day of the big game where the band would do a gig. So just me and the music teacher had the funniest idea of a prank for the class. Now was at the practice. So for every instrument you blow in we filled them with special confetti. And for the rest of the instruments we just let them be. Just to be clear. We didn't mess up any of the instruments. The band teacher knew what he was doing. So when we started to practice confetti shot everywhere. It was hilarious until we accidentally shot a teacher that was walking in. She hates band now XD

while we're on the topic... the funniest thing about my band is our clumsy percussionist. whenever she uses cymbals, she tends to drop them, giving most everyone a heart attack-

Now the sub, not knowing this kid, had no idea that he was by far the biggest troublemaker in the band. So when the solo came up the kid just started playing the "We Are Number One" song from heart and the director was just dumbfounded while all of us were dying of laughter

so... my school band..
is super ineffecient...
all day...
the band director just yells at the percussionist people...
so one day he got super frustrated...
cause they couldn't play a steady beat for a piece...
so he randomly chose someone from the rest of the band...
and of course with my terrible luck it had to be me...
so he was like, play a beat, with two hits on the base drum and then one on the snare drum, steadily....
and I did it...
and he was like, see... it's not that hard to play a simple beat... so you percussionists... should practice more...
and then he spent another half an hour talking about when he was learning how to play the drums...

maybe people who want to do an instrument but have absolutely no musical talent turn to percussion? that's just an idea?

I remember in like 5th grade...
we had a flute solo..
and there was a rest...
and someone played on that rest ._.
it was called surprise symphony...
and the rest was the most important part :3
