"Hey. Why did you give the hybrids extra food today?" Robin asked
Greyson in a serious tone. She really didn't like the hybrids, and
thought it was a waste of food to give them more than they
deserved.
Gem closed her book. She wanted to avoid contact with everyone else
as much as she could. She flew into the air, and carefully
descended on the table. She grabbed a plate, and silverware, and
flew back to her corner. She balanced the plate in her lap and
began to eat.
Oliver shook his head, getting out of Izzy grasp. "Nono,
she's fine. It's my fault, it's no problem if she snaps." He
hummed, sitting down. He smiled at his food sadly, putting a green
olive on his fork.
Greyson shrugged. "They like each other, no matter how different.
Opposites attract, yes?" He purred, shifting.
Yumi. "In scientific terms, correct. In real life? Love is a
lie."
Morgan finally spoke again. "Those who eat meat take life for what
it's worth. Those who survive off what is gifted by the land use
life for fulfillment."
Oliver kept his head down during the arguing, nibbling on
his food. He shifted, and finished quickly. He set the plate in the
center of the table, starting a stack. "I-I'm going to bed." He
said, shuffling to his bed. He shifted uncomfortably, laying down
and covering himself with the very thin sheet. He took off his
glasses and placed them down on the ground. He made sure they were
under the bed so no one would crush them. He faced the wall,
curling up.
Mavet finished, stacking her plate on Oliver's. "Yeah, I'm gonna
get some sleep." She said, heading to her bed. She took off her
shoes, and looked at Oliver. He hadn't taken off his shoes because
he hadn't been wearing them, it seemed. She huffed, laying down.
She had her back against the wall, watching the others.
Greyson yawned. "God, I wanna sleep." He murmured, closing his
lilac eyes.
Gem continued to read, but then she grew tired. She got up and put
her plate onto the stack. She then went back to her corner to read.
She ended up falling asleep on her book.
Robin gently elbowed Greyson, trying to keep him awake. "You can go
to bed then. I've got this shift covered." She said.
Robin looked over at him. "Are you sure?" She asked. She then
shifted her gaze back to the screen, seeing the hybrids fall
asleep. She then realized how lucky she was that none of the other
scientists had realized that she was a hybrid herself.
