The more effort something takes, the less likely it's going to be used as a scam.
If someone has to put in the effort/money to get permission for something, they're less likely going to choose that route and more likely to try and search another way. This is just our attempt at limiting the scammers' possibilities.
While, yes, scams will [unfortunately] always be a part of life, we should at least attempt to keep the site as safe as possible :p

What happens after the contest, is up to the users. As long as all rules are followed for the actual contest, there's no reason not to allow additional trades afterwards.

Yes, less likely to be used as a scam.

But putting too many rules and limiting stuff too much (which, for example, the missing shiny-hunting-option is) will keep some people away as well. Like me. I did enjoy hunting for other people as a prize but yeah. Rip with this rule.

Yep, contests are a goner for me. I don't really care if others care about it, but yeah. A shame it had to end like this (again, I understand why this rule is in place, but still).

its sad due to people offering shiny legends as a prize for legend raffles meaning stuff like Doop's shiny yveltal hunt etc.

I hope the ongoing contests or those which have already started receiving entries with prizes as Shiny hunts or Shiny legend spots as rewards will not be affected.
